Very quiet and just 5 min drive to Mendocino town. The house and property were very clean and had plenty of space to relax. It had a local Raven and a Fox that showed up every day, there were signs of bear but we didn’t see one. The house is large and roomy, but looks currently lived in (massive safe in bedroom) and owner locked areas. Dog friendly with gated deck, the 2 dogs could have gotten out between the rails or jumped over, but they never did. It also has a very nice and clean hot tub.

All beds were too soft, no-one got a good nights sleep! There are not enough kitchen tools…Scissors, meat thermometer, BBQ tools, sharp knives, proper glasses that are Not plastic! The heating system is controlled by thermostat in Master bedroom so it heats house based upon bedroom temp! The house int and ext needs a lot of maintenance, gutter loose broken and full of debris! We had to fix hot tub jet leaking/spraying so we could use it. Bedroom/masterbath door looks like an axe had taken a big chunk out of it! Bathtub valve handle comes off! Fridge leaks water on floor every once in a while! TV remote has a mind of its own! Seams to be controlled by someone living close by!! Or polterguist😳 I had to fix garbage disposal it was blocked and didnt work! Cabinet door in island was stuck open! Some outlets in Masterbath didnt work, etc,etc, etc. It is advertised to have a fireplace! It is Locked up and cannot be used by guests🙁

The place needs a de-humidifier - smelled very musty upon entry. We opened all of the windows, which helped. The iron did not work-

The house was on a large property with a great location close to Mendocino. It was relaxing to enjoy the big deck and we were able to see deer in the front yard. Kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies and it was quite pretty. The master bedroom had a very large thick bed that was comfortable. TV was extremely large and there was Dish to watch various stations. All the furniture was comfortable and in good condition.

The house was an older property. It did have a musty smell just from being in the forest like atmosphere. It was hard to keep shoes off as there was a deck door opposite the front door and shoes had to be brought back and forth to go outside.

Nice property and close to cute Mendocino downtown area.

There was a horrible musty smell throughout the house, despite opening windows to try and air out, using air fresheners, the smell was strong and infiltrated our belongings when we got home. The fire alarm went off on night one at 3:30am waking and scaring us up, thermostat read “high humidity level”. Additionally check out much too early at 10:00am, with little flexibility, we asked for extended check out and were only given until 10:30am, (despite 4:00pm check in time). Even hotels start check out earliest at 11:00. The property itself appears well maintained and house is tidy with older furniture but quaint. The odor throughout was overpowering and took away from our experience.
