What we paid didn’t match the quality of home

Location Liked the space it gave for two families

The floors were dirty There was cobwebs The cup holders in the recliners were disgusting We had little children (one 4 and one 1) Furniture was well worn

downstairs rooms, my kids found alive black earth worm (I don’t know what you call it ). crawling around. Dirty grill and dirty stove.

Beautiful house. No internet no beach view

Loved the house, it was very beautifully put together, the layout is awesome. Lots of windows to let natural light in!

There is no cable. The internet did not work our entire stay and that was the main thing we needed. Someone came out to try to repair it but I guess it’s just the service there. Unfortunately instead of a great family weekend my husband had to keep going into Newport to get work stuff done and this used up a good 4-5 hours each day there instead of being able to do it from the house. Also there is not an actual beach view. It’s beach access but you can NOT see the ocean from this property as it claimed and as the pictures portrayed. I feel I was robbed of this experience when we finally had an open weekend in over a year to get away as a family!

The location was great & the house had good space. We didn’t feel too crowded

There was an ant problem in the kitchen, dining area & living room. We had a crawling baby with us & we were constantly picking ants off of her as well as the tables & counters. We had to throw away a birthday cake we had because it had ants crawling all over it. There were NO amenities other than the house itself. No basic spices or foil, plastic wrap, etc. No measuring cups or spoons and the fry pans were old and one had no handle. Toaster was broken, toaster oven didn’t work properly & BBQ is old and knobs are broken. The front left burner on the stove didn’t work. Several burnt out light bulbs & SO MANY light switches, you couldn’t tell what was what? Lots of low placed light switches & the microwave was at knee level. We had a 2 year old with us that LOVED turning the lights on & off while I was cooking and I’m pretty sure she reprogrammed the microwave a few times🤷🏻‍♀️😂 The plug in the tub didn’t seal, so in order to bathe the kiddos, we had to leave the water running the entire time they were in the tub. The water never got more than 3” deep. The floors and stairs (besides bedrooms) are all stone & the stairs were steep. Luckily I came prepared with a baby gate which we had to manipulate a little to get it to fit the opening of the stairs. But we made it work to keep the littles safe.

The property was everything it was advertised to be.

There was 99.99% no ocean view. I wonder if booking a property with a view completed the whole experience of staying on the water?
