You, Me and the Sea - Meredith Lodging
When you want to relax with the family in a quiet neighborhood near the beach, it’s time for You, Me and the Sea, a single-level cottage with charming nautical décor and frontage on the Waldport canal. That means you can barbecue and dine on the home’s deck as you watch tidal water move in and out of the salt-water channel at your feet, while heron fish and seabirds soar overhead. You can also walk to the fantastic beach at Bayshore, with flat, sandy stretches open to wind, surf and sky, or to the Alsea River and views of its beautiful bridge. If you want to swim, the seasonal pool at the Bayshore Club is accessible for a fee.
This clean and casual cottage has a pretty living room with lots of seating, a TV/DVD, and a dining area that opens to the deck. The fully equipped kitchen has extra counter space for kitchen helpers and all you’ll need to cook up a coastal feast—maybe you’ll catch some crab in the bay or find some fresh fish on the boats in Newport. The three bedrooms, including a queen master suite with a sky-lit shower, give you plenty of room for family or extra friends. Though there’s plenty to do in this terrific location on foot, you’ll have short day trips galore on tap if you jump in the car—the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Newport’s Historic Bayfront are a half-hour away, and the dunes, Sea Lion Caves, and famous Heceta Head Lighthouse near Florence are a half-hour to the south. In between are dozens of fantastic beaches and forest hikes, plus interesting towns to explore. When you need a rejuvenating and unfettered vacation at the beach, this sweet home has the perfect location and laid-back vibe to keep you as busy or as relaxed as you’d like.

Location was nice. House was a bit run down and poorly decorated. There were no extra blankets anywhere in the house and each bed only had a thin worn out quilt. Light colored carpets were worn and stained. Overall Overall

The house was lovely and easy to get around, fine, great neighborhood for waking in and easy to get between Yachats and Newport.
The house was clean, with a lovely view in the back yard area. The neighborhood is quiet and clean.

For our stay we booked 3 weeks in advanced. I was bringing myself and my kids with the dog. The listing came up with pet safe property search, however upon arrival was contacted by property management that I needed to find different accommodations for the pet. I am thankful they worked with me instead of eviction from the property. There is also no washer and dryer available for use. There is very little decor, the garage is extremely rusted, there looks to be condensation in the window. So staying lengthy time like we did, I have kids and need to do laundry. There is one television and another with a DVD player in a "kids" room. The kitchen is pretty well stocked. The back deck has had boards replaced but the deck color is uneven. Back door was covered in some silty film. We found a glove on the back deck. This home is nice but it is not worth the price we paid. I always book with other places and never have a problem. This was my first time renting with this site and I am disappointed. I appreciate the property management was easy to contact and work out benefit for all parties. I will however not stay here again.
