Best Western Plus Crawfordsville Hotel

MIssing remote in the room, hairs in the sink, dirty water and dishers in the dishwasher, no shampoo, and the handle had been pulled off the shower door and just left on the top of the toliet lid.

The price was right , I like the location. Friendly people. Very helpful.

I liked everything.

Right off the interstate

Elevator out of service, with no options for people with mobility issues. Bed appeared made, but once you pulled back the blanket the bed wasn’t actually made underneath. Bed was hard as a rock, and insanely squeaky, resulting in a terrible nights sleep made worse by trekking through the hotel to exit. Garbage wasn’t emptied in the bathroom prior to our check in, and the shower floor was so gross looking I’d advise shower shoes.

Breakfast was good. Online reservation while on road was convenient (only 3 rooms available when I booked).

Larger vehicle parking was okay

Problems with electricity were troublesome. Also pool did not look clean - several bugsfloating on top of water...

Not pet-ready, pet-friendly, or kind to single women traveling alone with a pet. When I arrived at 3am to check into a room that I had already paid for, Autumn first said she had a first floor pet room she had to check for repairs. After 20 minutes of waiting for her to check it, I became frustrated with the experience and complained about the situation. At which point she refused me a room. When I asked her to call her manager for me, she did but refused to let me talk with her. Instead, she told her manager I was being difficult and the manager on duty, Suba Gabhawala, agreed to refuse me a room. If this is all Crawfordsville has to offer in terms of hospitality, I’m glad I’m leaving. Another woman left a single woman traveling by herself with a pet stranded in a car for the night at 3 AM. Thanks to the older woman clerk at the hotel across the street who looked out for me and provided me shelter.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very quiet The Sauna only had two working panels but everything else was fine.

Close to the interstate. Rooms were well maintained and clean. Staff was great to deal with. Breakfast was excellent.

Coffee at breakfast was excellent! Coffee machine offered many different options.

Breakfast was cold / poor quality food. Lobby was very stuffy when we arrived – – it was warm outside and didn’t seem like the air conditioning was keeping up.

We liked that they are dog-friendly. We also liked the breakfast. There were multiple options including an omelet station. The people in the reception were nice. Our room was pretty good and it was conveniently located at the end because we had to bring our dog out occasionally.

Very little to complain about. A trivial matter really, but there was no “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on that you can use when you don’t want your room cleaned.

The heated indoor pool was a nice bonus to our trip, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Toilet paper roll was almost empty and no spare in Room. Didn’t get to enjoy pool due to lack of Time.

Breakfast was ok

This was the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. There were bugs in the bathroom. The carpets were disgusting. Big stains everywhere. Kitchen area was filthy!!

Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice. They allow pets for $20 a night which isn’t all that bad. Accommodated an issue in the room by switching us to a different room mid stay which was a good solution to the problem. They make omelets at breakfast which I thought was a nice feature to their breakfast experience, I did not partake in one but I thought that was nice.

First room the AC was not very well functional, the fridge in our room was defrosting on its own as well for an unknown reason. Had to switch rooms mid trip, at least the second room was close to the first. Breakfast left less to be desired, the breakfast potatoes weren’t very well done, did not provide a nonstick spray for the waffle machine so it all just stuck inside the waffle machine. Scrambled eggs were discolored so didn’t look all that appetizing.

Room was very nice, great TV. Shower gel dispenser was empty and I do not like duvet covers. Options with those are to leave them on and sweat ot kick it off and freeze. Blanket is better

Asked for a quiet location and was put on 1st floor. Could not fall asleep due to banging doors in hallways. Found ants on the desktop in the room.

We loved the friendly staff. The fresh breakfast. Comfortable room.

Bed was a bit hard

Location close to the interstate was convenient. Late afternoon desk clerk was very helpful.

Beds weren’t neatly made but were clean. Bathroom floor needed cleaned. Breakfast was definitely not good. No juice until we were almost done eating. Eggs were completely cold. Every table was dirty. Could see dust on the counters There was a piece of toast on the floor under our table. We asked for a receipt and the day clerk said she couldn’t give us one because we didn’t reserve directly. She wasn’t in the least friendly.

Everything else was good for breakfast except the biscuits were hard.

The sheets were yellow, the towel had dirty hand,prints on it. They could use better detergent or some bleach. The blanket was also stained.

This is a very nice hotel, made that way in large part by the team of people who work there. I was greeted on arrival by two of the folks, who turned out to be the front desk attendant and the breakfast chef. We had a very enjoyable conversation and the chef turned out to be an outstanding cook as well. Breakfast is a strong point for this hotel, including all of the standards and excellently prepared to order omelets. The only reservation was that the upper floor of the hotel common area was quite warm and, as a result, the rooms on that floor, at least mine, was as well. That won't, however, keep me from staying there again whenever I go to Crawfordsville. The location is great, with easy access to highways and services.

As noted above, the temperature in my room was uncomfortable even with the thermostat set down to 68.
