Hotel 1080

We stayed at Hotel 1080 for our first trip to NYC and had a fantastic experience. Being in Bed-Stuy gave us a wonderful taste of local culture and community, which we were excited to embrace. What made our stay truly unforgettable was the reception team. Anthony and Leron were phenomenal - always smiling, extremely helpful, and so welcoming. Having a chat with them every day brought a ton of joy to our mornings and evenings! While the building is a little older, it has plenty of charm and unique personality (the floor-by-floor elevator beeps and heading to the basement for hot water became our little daily routine!). The complimentary coffee is awesome, and having the J and M train lines right around the corner made getting around New York seamless. As a small suggestion for improvement: it would be great if bed linens were changed automatically at least once a week for longer stays. While our towels were refreshed daily, our bed sheets were not changed during our stay of under 10 days (though we aren't sure if this needed to be specifically requested).

All the staff were super friendly - especially Anthony! In between 2 subway stops for the M and J train which made it super quick and convenient to get into Manhattan. Highly recommend if you’re looking to stay in Brooklyn with easy access to touristy areas like Soho or Times Square. There’s also complimentary tea and coffee during your stay! Would definitely book again next time we’re back in New York :)

Not necessarily a con but it is located under a subway bridge which felt a bit dark and spooky if you’re travelling alone as a female.
