It’s OK for an experience not somewhere I would revisit

Location was great, nightly walks was great. But for the price I paid with no extra amenities and there was pubes in the hot tub. Absolutely disgusting when we first checked in they said they upgraded us to a king room, but the room view was partial when I had booked a room that was not partial. I didn’t even realize what they were doing until I talked to my sister and they’ve done the same thing to her. It’s because we booked through a third-party they want you to book through their site directly. The shower curtain situation is absolutely trash. Front desk said they are aware of it and sent it more towels, but the carpet in front of the bathroom were absolutely soaked. There was no way of stopping that air circulating . other than that bed was comfortable.

The rooms could've been a cleaner! Appliances were dusty, the balcony had food on the floor, there was a beer cap left on the floor and a long hair on the bathroom floor.

Beautiful location!

The location was lovely.

The staff were rude to every customer they engaged with. I witnessed many guest complaining everytime we passed the front desk. Our window was filthy and we were unable to capture the full effect of the view we paid for. We asked staff to clean the big lumps of residue of a bird hitting the window. They said they would clean it but nothing happened. We already paid for the room.

Awesome rooms with an amazing view (we had an ocean view). The spa tub was amazing and amenities wonderful. Truly a great room and hotel.

The beds are abhorrent. If you like a really firm bed, then you are going to be in heaven. My wife was 6 months pregnant at the time of our stay and the extra firm rock bed we had was not good for her back and sleep. I am typically not bothered by beds, but even my back was extra stiff after the second night. We were extremely bummed by this, as everything else was amazing!

I appreciate a place for adults only. Everything was so clean and fresh. The bed was INCREDIBLE! I have never slept in a comfortable hotel bed, ever. Location was central to everything in Lincoln City.

We were bummed we couldn’t get the fireplace to turn on. I even spoke to the front desk and raised the temp like he said but nothing came on.

One of the better hotels on the Oregon Coat.

The room was actually pretty nice and better than we thought it would be. It had a full view of the ocean, and was surprisingly very quiet. We were pleased that the hotel was "adults only" in that there were no small children to be screaming and running around (a common happening as parents "tune out" their children too often). The room had a lot of light, and was comfortable. It was a bit odd that there was no standard room service (cleaning, etc.) but it was also nice because we never felt rushed to leave, etc. Overall, we will definitely stay here again.

There were very few thing to not like, and most were minor. Neither the AC nor fireplace seemed to work in our room (and it got warm during the day, even in the late spring). And I wish there was a coffee bar in the hotel -- yes, they did provide some complimentary coffee, but one weak cup does not work when you are used to multiple shots of espresso each day. Maybe a small espresso bar in the lobby -- that would generate income and be a great service to the customers. Also, the beds were decent, but were full spring-style that seems to be going the way of the dinosaur. Also, parking was a bit iffy, but there seemed to be some construction going on, so not a huge issue.

No hooks to hang towels near Jacuzzi tub, no assist rails to get in and out of tub, and a stool for shorter people should be made available. There were no spoons, forks etc... no napkins, kleenex or paper plates, TV did not work, no place to hang towels in shower area or to hang wash cloths in shower. Seating provided was not really comfortable--would be a lot better with some upholstered chairs.

First of all the jet tub in the room was absolutely amazing and essentially that’s why we booked the room in the first place. It was phenomenal how hot the water got in the tub specifically. Staff was very friendly and efficient with check-in and out. The view from our room was absolutely beautiful 100% of the time!

THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS. They provided a single box fan with a cord, not long enough to set the fan in front of the door to pull in cool air from outside and no plug-ins close enough to the door. It was mid 70s in our room consistently until about midnight. With the fan going all day long curtains shut to keep it cool as possible. It still was way too hot at night . The hot water was very much so lacking in the shower. The tub was great. The shower had terrible hot water, barely warm at all to be honest. Also, there’s no chairs in the room. So you get to sit on the bed or you get to sit on the floor or the edge of the tub. Obviously I understand this is a beach hotel, so environmental things take a toll on the external of a building, but the decks were very underwhelming, the chairs were old and gross, and the banister did not seem sturdy. Also call me old-fashioned, but I noticed midway through our stay that there is no phone in the room to call the front desk for any needs or questions. obviously we are in the age of technology and everyone has cell phones, but I just didn’t want to have to google the information to call the front desk, would a much rather just been able to pick up the phone and be connected.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay — everything was even better than we expected! The view from the balcony was so breathtaking, it literally took our breath away. The jacuzzi was perfectly placed near the balcony, allowing us to enjoy the ocean view right from the warm bath. The bed was amazing, and everything — absolutely everything — was top-notch. We can’t wait to come back again!

No continental breakfast or coffee. In your room there’s the standard little mr coffee. Every one I’ve ever used burns the coffee, but I still try. I asked for an extra bath mat because the shower curtain was put in to high and the floor gets soaking wet. Also an extra wash cloth. I never received it. Also seems as though a lot of the room doors slam shut really hard, even with a self closing device. Really loud in the middle of the night.

So much for an anniversary trip

We booked this for our anniversary trip, specifically called beforehand to upgrade and add a package, explained we would not be able to arrive until late at night since my husband works late and we had to leave after he was off, arrived and the room was extremely musky and smelly, also not beach front as well, immediately went down to the desk and asked for a different room. Person at front desk was no help at all and said to talk to management the next morning. Next morning asked about the room switch and the person said he would work on things and called us asking for an additional 250 dollars to switch rooms. We had already paid 324.84 and then an additional 30 dollars for the roses and towel design. For 2 weeks days in a room that stunk and was supposed to be for our anniversary. It honestly ruined the entire trip.

Our room was fantastic as always! The jetted tub/spa bath in room is always a plus! We enjoy the fresh air, the ocean views, hot baths all day and night! Separate bathrooms are also amazing in size and lovely shower! The staff is super friendly and offering lovers special, wine/champagne and other options to be placed in your room upon arrival. The staff is super convenient, sweet and caring. We stay here every chance we get, (whenever we don't have our dog) as Starfish is a no pet & adult only hotel! Highly recommend!

I wish they did buffet breakfast, i do certainly understand why they don't, but for guest who don't mind breakfast with others, I think it would bring in more of the older generations as well.

Very unimpressed. I had much higher expectations for this place, it did not deliver.

The room was set up wrong, There is no comfortable seating to watch the ocean from inside the room. A very sparce hotel experience. No coffee in the lobby, They have a full breakfast room, that is not used and is locked. The little things that you expect are nor provided. Kleenex, laundry bag, the tea bags in the room looked like they had been there for a long time. Very skimpy on towels. Hotel has no personality, nothing special, staff very unattached and not engaging. If all you want is a room, great.

That it a was near the ocean

The room as advertised on the property website and booking is completely misleading. All of the images on the website clearly show balcony/upper level rooms. Well we were placed on a lower level with a view of bushes and the horizon not the beach. If you want to look out the beach you need to walk off your patio to the bushes and on your way back you might have the unfortunate luck of seeing naked people in their jetted tubs right there at the window of the lower level for all to see. Management initially brushed off my concerns, after speaking with booking and management again I received a 50 dollar refund.

Udder serenity.

We LOVED the fact that this is an adult’s only hotel. We instantly felt the calmness and serenity in the absence of kids. The room was gorgeous, bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathtub overlooking the ocean was probably my favorite spot in the entire room. The staff were AMAZING. Each and every one of them always had a smile and a warm, welcoming demeanor. Staff was incredibly friendly, and very attentive and accommodating to anything we needed during our stay. We loved this place so much that we added an extra night to our stay.

Was perfect view and clean and quiet rooms

It was nice and clean the staff the first day didn’t have much personality, but the second night she was different so maybe she was having a bad day. The only complaint I have is there wasn’t very close parking for someone that needed it,only had 2 handicap spots and both were used the whole time.

Won’t go back

I stayed to soak in a Jetted tub . That didn’t work. The Jett’s were none working. When I called the front desk to ask about it. Didn’t get help. Said she would check a switch , but it never worked and I never heard back from her. Not that friendly at check in either.

The above no working and I paid for it. Bed was not comfortable. The room was very clean and looked nice. But amenities like simple chairs for inside the room were missing. Kitchen amenities only a small coffee set up. No silverware or plate. I was surprised and disappointed.
