Breyhouse B&B

Shirley was an excellent host. She showed us our room and ensured we were happy with it prior to charging us for the stay. The main common area and rooms have thoughtfully placed trinkets, with decor that tells a story. The room we stayed in was on the upper floor. It featured both a private entrance and direct stairwell to the common area. Coffee maker, tea, and popcorn were available to us in our room as well as a small fridge. We could see the ocean from the huge window. We sat in the comfy chairs in front of the window, sipping our morning brew with one of the two room heaters going. The king sized bed was extremely comfy, I hadn't slept that good in another bed in a long time, and the pillows were nice and fluffy. The room was clean, and there were toiletries and soft towels provided. The breakfast Shirley made for us was incredible, note that the recipes were her late husbands, which made the experience more special. Hearing her stories and experiences, you can tell she has put a lot of effort and love into their Bed and Breakfast. Nothing beats the view from the dining room. We will definitely be back!

The room can get a bit cold, but this can be avoided if you turn on the smaller heater to medium before bed its a workhorse. This isn't a negative necessarily, but more of a tip to those who enjoy a warmer room!

The decor was beautiful, and the very welcoming hostess over-extended herself to help with our future plans. The homemade toppings for the German pancakes were especially delicious, as was the B&B's special traditional treat at the end of breakfast. The downstairs rooms shared a large kitchen and living room, which was helpful for us as we ate out of our ice chest food for dinner when we returned late to the B&B that evening, after photographing the sights in the next section to the south as the sun went down, to make up time we would spend on construction delays.

The problems specific to me were the bed was very high and to go to the large, luxuriously appointed bathroom had steps, which makes getting up in the night problematic. We did handle those problems well; however. Only a small number of people would be concerned about the heavily-perfumed and softener-treated sheets and towels that were an especial concern for my health. Many hotels nowadays are using unscented laundry detergents and no softener on laundry, because of the health hazards. Those would prevent us from returning again, which others that night have done repeatedly for years due to the lovely aspects.

Warm welcome by host upon arrival. Cozy accomodation. Comfortable bed and bedding. Excellent breakfast.

We have stayed here multiple times and it's always a treat! Looking forward to our next visit and already can't wait to be back! Food was delicious, bed was comfortable, beach access perfect. The only place we stay at when we visit Lincoln City!

We loved the German pancake breakfast with Shirley’s homemade jam and syrup! Can’t beat the ocean view from the dining table either!

Breakfast was fantastic, and the location could not have been better. Shirley was a superb host, checking in with us before check-in to ensure we arrived safely and efficiently, and providing us with top-notch recommendations for things to do and places to eat, etc. Shirley is a very kind, outgoing, and personable host. If you prefer a more hands-off experience, this might not be the best place. However, if you're okay with a more personable experience, Shirley will make you feel right at home.

This is a rather silly complaint, but the coffee was extremely watered down. Probably just the way Shirley prefers it, but it wasn't great haha.
