Worst hotel in Huntington...

The breakfast

My bed in room 405 smelt like bad cigarette smoke and I don't smoke at all I told Ryan that checked me in and they said they would see about moving me and nothing happened and the shower was absolutely filthy and so was the carpets and the white towels had long black hairs twisted inside them as long as the blankets and sheets and bugs where everywhere in the window seal underneath the bed and the a.c wouldn't work so the heat was stuck on 90 degrees worst possible stay I've ever experienced please help me fix this issue bc I really wanted to extend my stay... Please give me a call at 220-254-8969 id greatly appreciate it and thank you...

Always a comfy stay

Bed itself was very comfortable. Loved the updated fans in the bathroom, definitely helped for ventilation. Location is great and close to lots of great places to eat and many different experiences.

Pillows went flat almost immediately, I understand that this is preference. Need a mixture of firm and soft pillows.

Extremely good staff! I witnessed very professional and friendly interactions between staff and hotel customers. The complimentary cookies were a sweet touch!

A complimentary breakfast would be a better option than the $16.95 buffet.

The room furnishings are very dated. The sofa was in horrible condition with sagging cushions and arms with large sunken places. I believe that the room was clean but carpet and curtains were stained. I don't believe this hotel has had a refresh since it became a Doubletree and the age really shows.

Was there for a quick over-night stay. Location was great and easy to get into.

Location The room in general. Friendly Staff. The Cookie! Open space in the lobby. The outdoor pool and pool area.

Needs a jacuzzi Liquid Soap in the Shower as an option, next to the shampoo and Conditioner, would be better. Brighter over head light in the bathroom Window seal was high in the room, maybe windows that you could see out of from the couch. Carpeting in the hall ways need to be replaced. A card that says what tv stations are on what channels.

How close it was to the concert venue.

The lack of rooms being ready at check in time. The room I booked is not the room we got because we had to take whatever was available on my 3rd inquiry just so we could have a room to get ready for the concert in. The lobby was full of other ppl that also didn’t have a room to check into. Afterwards there was a couple that was just retrieving their belongings from the front desk and just getting their room key because their room was not ready by the time the concert started at 7 pm. Check in was supposed to be 3 pm. I can understand a few rooms not being ready at 3; but not an entire lobby full of them.

Very clean hotel in a great location with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.

The property is in the best location for our needs. We stay here every time we come to town to visit family and friends.

I called two days before our arrival to confirm that the pool will be available and was told it would be. We stayed there 3 days and on the second day we couldn’t use the pool because it was being cleaned in the middle of the afternoon. On the third day, there were then signs posted that the pool was closed for maintenance. We had some downtime and because it was so hot we wanted to enjoy the pool but was unable to. This was a disappointment. In addition, I’m quite confused about the housekeeping services. I asked on two occasions if there was daily service only to be asked what I needed. Well, I only needed clean towels that I had to request each day and when we set trash out one morning, it wasn’t even picked up until the next day.

Okay but, the thing i didn't like soured the stay.

The room i reserved almost a month ahead of time was given to someone else who didn't arive for hours after me. And the difference was unable to be given to me for whatever reason. The reason should not matter. I was promised something and payed for it. You gave me less and kept the difference.

Super friendly staff-comfortable stay

We really liked our stay! It’s rare that I give a 10/10 rating, but the staff here truly made the experience exceptional. While the hotel itself isn’t the most high-end and could use a bit more attention to bathroom cleanliness, the warmth and helpfulness of the team more than made up for it. From check-in to checkout, the vibe was welcoming and relaxed. I forgot my headphones after we checked out, and when I called the next day, they immediately offered to mail them to me. Catherine at the front desk was super friendly, and Tammy helped arrange the shipping—just one small example of how accommodating they are. They really made our Huntington vacation more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
