Proximity to OSU. Just over a 30 minute level walk. Easy.

Parking lot was narrow. No big deal

Staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Parking was secure.

Breakfast was standard American hotel buffet breakfast, which is to say, not very good. There were many options but not high quality.

We was check in by the owner his self which was very nice place and setting was quiet

we wasn’t able to get another one due to the laundry staff being gone for the night so we slept with two sheets not the night we was looking forward the shower also had hair everywhere that wasn’t there when we arrived

The bathroom toilet / shower access wasn’t very convenient. Had to shut door to access the shower.

Location was perfect for us. It was a 35mins walk along a great river pathway to Ohio State University. We didn’t have a car but the no1 bus stopped right in front of the hotel which went right downtown (need a Cota card or $1 bills). Lots of great restaurants close walk. We liked a bakery called “Tous Les Jours” and the Chinese restaurant in the nearby “The City” apartment complex. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds were excellent. The breakfast was better than expected The kitchen was handy and equipped well enough to cook a simple meal. Large fridge. The washing machine/dryers were complimentary but it’s BYO detergent Was very happy with our 2 week stay

Found the aircon a bit louder than expected

It was close to OSU however, next time I would stay at the Marriott across the street

This hotel could use some renovation. The breakfast taste like an elementary school breakfast from 1980. It was canned fruit poured into containers. The room itself was not very clean.

Online reservation stated free parking and then they tried charging me. Asked for one additional towel and washcloth but never arrived. Dead bug on bathroom floor. Crumbs in the bed. No blankets or sheets for the pull out sofa bed.

Do NOT Book Here – Misleading Practices and Unprofessional Behavior I made a reservation on May 17 for a one-night stay on July 21 at Staybridge Suites OSU in Columbus, OH, as the first stop of a cross-country move. I paid $160 for what I expected to be a comfortable stay for myself and my mother. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a complete nightmare. On the day of the reservation, at 12:18 p.m., I missed a call from a number labeled “Singh Stark.” Minutes later, I received another call—this time from Staybridge Suites—informing me that the room I had booked was being used by a hospital patient who could not be moved. I was told I’d be relocated to a sister property at the “same nightly rate” and would be “upgraded” to a Queen Suite. No mention was made of the specific property name. I didn’t make a fuss—I simply asked for the new reservation details to be emailed, as I was on the road. Seven hours later, I still hadn’t received anything. Concerned, I began calling around to figure out where I was supposed to go. Only then did someone finally tell me the “sister property” was the Holiday Inn Express—a hotel I had intentionally avoided when originally booking because it is a lower-tier property. I checked and confirmed that rooms there were going for $120 that night, significantly cheaper than what I’d already paid. At that point, I expressed concern over the lack of transparency and honesty—particularly around the pricing. Very shortly after, I received a call from the hotel’s “GM,” who introduced himself as “Andy.” However, it quickly became clear this was Manav Singh (based on the email address he later used and publicly available info, including LinkedIn and the Sintel Hotel Group website). Manav immediately came in hostile and argumentative.

I like the location, close to everything.

The check in staff, the lady doing check in was rude, did not communicate well and not helpful at all.

Well, we got shipped to the holiday inn, and we didn't stay at staybridge Suites. I think they overbooked the rooms.

You failed ( Booking.com ) to actually book our room, even though we supplied a credit card to Guarantee the booking was reserved. No room available.

They couldn’t find my reservation from booking so I had to go to another hotel

The Management tried to be helpful, ... they were nice, but their English was hard to understand.

Room- I had reserved a standard-double queen bed room, and I was given one king-size bed, and a pull-out couch. The management said the problem was "booking.com" because all they had was a "standard" booking. I have back problems (swollen disc, 5th vertabrae) and for two nights tried to sleep on a pull-out couch with no support. I woke up at 2:00am every morning. Linens for the pull-out couch were missing, I requested linens, but took several hours to be delivered. The management called to explained this was because of Co-Ved rules. They also said that all rooms with two queen beds were booked. The dresser in the room was poorly placed such that drawers kept opening. I told management. They sent some workers to fix it, and they arrived when I was trying to sleep (because I didn't sleep most of the night). I had a "do not disturb" sign up, but they kept knocking and knocking. Breakfast- the first morning had not waffle batter and so no waffles, the trash cans were over flowing so no place to throw trash out. The table for both mornings were unstable and so when my son sat down with me the table rocked and my drinks spilt.

The breakfast I never been too a hotel where they can accommodate me as far as the chicken sausage!!

I really loved the stay and my children did too

Millie was a very nice person. She gave you the vibe that you were her out of town guest. She was very accommodating.

When my floor,the 4th floor had a incident which caused the smoke alarm to go off as well as created a lot of smoke in the hall and for residents to evacuate,nothing was explained unless you asked. No staff member told us to evacuate or that we could return to our rooms until someone in your area asked. It was very unorganized and then I was told I never had to evacuate my room after sitting in the lobby for about 20 minutes. It was also late and woke people up. Millie however was very apologetic.

It was nice that it had a kitchenette in the room and laundry on site. Breakfast was amazing!

It was very comfortable and the help was the best. But the front desk reception is horrible.

The front desk reception will overcharge you for your Deposit based off of your ethnicity. The front desk are all of them except for the kind woman.. but they all will try to overcharge you until you tell them that you already have been there and only paid $100 for the deposit last time so why would they be charging me almost $200 for the next deposit the next time you are trying to stay. It is all a scam.

Toilet seat loose. Toilet paper and tissue very low quality and rough No light by long mirror. Mirror in bathroom dim. No way to properly put on makeup. Hair conditioner had shampoo mixed in with it— it bubbled - suds. Couldn’t get any food for early flight— breakfast starting 7 too late for me.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever experienced staying at a hotel. My privacy was compromised and violated and the staff was very unprofessional and rude.

Harassed by employees . Manager didn’t handle my matter in a professional way and disregarded my violation and safety .Even after calling the police and making a report against the employee the hotel never followed up with me concerning the matter.

Price.

Dirty and needs cleaning. Couch was dirty. The floors were dirty. In general was in need of cleaning throughout.

Parking was a little rough. If you don't understand, you'll soon find out 😆. Staff was awesome. Room was huge!

Very comfortable accommodations. Convenient location: easy access to 315, and to OSU campus. Great breakfast with excellent selection of hot and cold food.

Rattling heating unit in room is noisy: needs attention. So-so soundproofing: early morning street noise very loud from upper floor.

Arriving and check-in went smoothly. The location was great for my needs. The location was quiet.

My room had a cigar/smoking smell for the duration of my stay. I believe my neighbor or someone was smoking as there were times that the odor increased and was more intense. I did report the problem and was offered to re-clean the room, however the room itself was clean, but the air was the issue. The smell was very obvious and my friends who also believed it was another guest most likely causing the issue.

The suite was clean. The living room area and the bed were very comfortable. I wish we had stayed there longer so we could have made full use of the kitchenette, which looked convenient.

The door of the shower stall swung outward on the opposite side of the hose: turning on the water to warm it first required getting wet. Then there was water dripping off the shower door onto the floor afterwards. Plus, the towel hook was on the wrong wall (behind the shower door when fully swung open) - had to completely step out of the shower to get to the towel. There was no fan in the bathroom.

Location was great, walkable. The beds were comfortable. The lady at the front desk was awesome! Breakfast was decent.

The refrigerator stuck at the bottom. The toilet would run on and off. Think the flapper might be messed up, like water would drain out of it then I have to refill after a while. And the dispensers in the shower for the shampoo conditioner and body wash we're mixed up. I wanted to use the conditioner and shampoo came out.
