Great location and beautiful room!

Great staff and fabulous location. Room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the outdoor sitting area.

The time before this that I stayed, breakfast was delivered to the room and included in the price. I thought that was a nice touch and missed that this time. A mini fridge would be a great addition as well.

Beautiful bed and breakfast

It was clean and nicely decorated. The room had everything we needed. The restaurant attached was very good. You could walk to town and everything was close by.

the best of hotels during our week in the Gold Country

I love that it was not a chain hotel and I really enjoyed the choice of furniture, lights, etc. And of course, the morning scones at the door and the wonderful light breakfast in the Element restaurant, so beautifully stylish.

the morning staff was unresponsive. Breakfast consisted of 1/2 cup of coffee and a spoonful of yogurt. terrible.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Nice to wake up to coffee and scones and later treated to a full breakfast.

Nice and tranquil place to stay for either leisure of business.

They got a beautiful designer's entrance/reception; very pleasant. Nice touch with the glass of wine Sarah offered nicely. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

The wall could be better soundproof. Unfortunately, we could hear the next-door neighbor's TV; luckily, they didn't stay up too late. Also, having a coffee machine instead of a coffee pot for breakfast would be nice, or serving coffee when delivering breakfast.

Luxurious feel yet comfortable and warm.

The location is great; walking distance from shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms. The Hanford House Inn serves the most delicious scones, coffee, tea, and made to order breakfasts. Better than any I’ve had at a hotel or bed and breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful and they even service complimentary wine during happy hour.

I am a bit picky when it comes to hotels, Inns etc. This one was amazing. Very quaint, yet modern and super clean. Location was great and loved having our morning coffee out on the balcony. Scones and breakfast were delivered to the room, which was very nice.

Didn't realize until we left that there was a spa right next door. Not that we asked, but I wish it would have been mentioned when we checked in.

Modern boutique hotel in Gold Country at a reasonable price

Great place! Most Gold Country hotels are either “motel” style, or “historic hotels”. The motels are usually nothing special, and while the historic hotels have a lot of charm, and, well, history, they are of course an older style. Hanford House Inn is neither of these. It is a modern boutique hotel with a cool vibe. Really refreshing to find such a great inn in Gold Country. I’ll be back!

It was a good breakfast.

Bathroom was adequate but definitely not luxurious. Towels we’re rationed as was ice. For the price we paid you would expect luxury and abundance.

Great staff and great location in Sutter Creek. The accommodations were exceptional.

My breakfast was brought promptly, but without utensils, and then /it took a while to find someone to get them. However, the breakfast itself was wonderful.

Overall was ok. But for the price, I will be nitpicking.

Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Scones and breakfast were great. Staff was friendly and accommodating. High ceilings and complimentary robes were a nice touch.

Room was noisy due to being right above the Main Street. Not ideal but not a game changer. Wish I could have had the windows open more but it was way too loud. Also walls are a bit thin so we could hear our neighbors. Would have loved some real sugar at the coffee bar instead of just Splenda. Had a nail in the bathroom threshold pop out when I stepped on it. My real issue is our room did not have a security door lock on the inside so anyone could walk in if they had a key (which actually did happen). I thought this was quite odd. Not sure if it was just our room? We piled furniture in front of the door at night so we had a bit of piece of mind while we slept.

The breakfast was delicious & healthy! We enjoyed the omelette so much we ordered it both days. The location could not have been more perfect. To look down and see people wine tasting & laughing, it felt like we had been transported to another place & time.
