It was a fast easy process when we got there to check in. Everyone was so nice. Breakfast was great.

The room was nice but not clean. There were previous marks or stains in the bathroom from previous stays. On the corners of the beds on the floor there was dirt and trash. There was a leftover sticky stain on the nightstand neito the bed and one on the desk. We had to clean ourselves.

I felt like it was worth maybe $100 a night

Location from the river

Took over 30 minutes for someone to check us in because no one was at the front . We paid for breakfasts that was not edible . The rooms price $182 was extremely expensive compared to the quality . My bedding was dirty and had stains upon arrival . Our shower was clogged and we were up til almost midnight waiting for someone to fix it .

The elevator needed a room key for entry. Very difficult for a handicapped person carrying luggage. Use an extra lock on the door instead. Also, a free breakfast buffet like the other Holiday Inn's would be great.

The card key to get in the elevator from the first floor was very cumbersome. Besides, all someone would have to do if they wanted in illegally is to wait on another guest to enter. A card key to get in the front door after 10pm and an extra lock on the room door would be a lot easier.

My money wasn't well-spent.

The breakfast started at 7 AM, and I wasn't able to eat because I had to attend an event that started at 8:30.

I didn't like that the continental breakfast wasn't available in time for me to eat, or that breakfast started so late. Also, when asked about the a later check out time, the staff wasn't too nice.

Checkin amenity was not available. No water in lobby first day. No swim towels available or brought out after asking. Pool area was a mess Sunday afternoon. Only 3 towels in a double queen room. Room was not made up during the day (stayed 2 nights). WiFi was not working. Breakfast was slow, poor quality and had to be paid separate from room.

Feeling ripped off while our hearts were grieving

The staff were great. And we liked the facility. Mostly clean.

All the hotels in San Marcos were booked for some race in Austin. But - We were in San Marcos to say our final goodbye to our mother. The Room Rates were tripled!!!!! We paid $330.00 a night for our 37 year old daughter to sleep on a roll away! Because we booked a double room online with booking.com, but they had none available when we arrived.
