The staff was very unprofessional, the cleanliness and quality was very poor. The the bedsheets and blankets had burns and tried blood. The refrigerator was loud and make noise. The heater kept going out.

Disgusting, unsanitary, and unprofessional.

The third-floor back room I stayed in was absolutely filthy. There were large, old blood stains on the bedding, grime everywhere, and a Band-Aid crudely stuck over one of the smoke detectors—so gross. The bed was rock hard, with no fitted sheet, just a flimsy top sheet that slid around, leaving me exposed. The mattress cover didn’t even fit properly and was put on inside out. I contacted the hotel multiple times by phone and email with photos, and Booking.com also tried on my behalf — no response. When I did reach someone, they hung up on me. Dozens of reviews report the same issues, so management clearly knows and does nothing. Some lower-level rooms are okay, and it is quiet with hardly any guests, but this experience was so bad that I will never return. Never again.

I liked the parking space at the accommodation.

1. Upon arrival at the room, it was quite obvious that the heating in the room was not working and it was not working, so we were freezing all night. 2. Bed was only covered with a sheet, there was no blanket in the bed, so it would have been warmer in the car too. 3. There was no hot water in the bathroom, only lukewarm water.

shared ownership with neighboring hotel, so check-in was a bit different, but its a quiet - albiet older - hotel right on the main drag. Its a little outdated, but just right for my needs.

Way over priced for what you get. No AC, dirty rooms, super thin walls, really cheap towels and toilet paper. They should be charging hostel prices, not premium prices for what they provide or at least include a breakfast.

Good value clean room

This is a older motel outside looked a bit rundown but room was renovated with new carpet paint and bathroom also had a 50inch tv with good cable. I was there for celebrity golf tournament which was about a 40 minute walk. This was a good value because lake tahoe is expensive during this time. I would stay here again.

The location is very nice, you can walk to almost any store you'd like. I like how there's plenty of parking so no issues looking for a spot.

I didn't like how the room was on the second floor while they were fixing the staircase our whole stay. They could have left the second floor closed until the job was finished because it felt like we were in the way of the workers. The room also had no ventilation at all. I usually take warm-hot showers and the steam just stays there. No AC, there was only one fan that barely did its job. It could have been just our room that was like this but I don't recommend this place if you plan on staying for more than a day. You really do get what you pay for. Lastly, the name of the place is misleading, I don't know why it's "Tahoe Sands Inn" on here but on the maps it's Pinewood Inn, this can confuse a lot of costumers.

The staff was very friendly and everything went very smoothly, Microwave, a very spacious room, fast Wi-fi, a great location

the room was not clear at all, the sink was stuffy, and we found a moldy lemon under the sink

Cheap stay in an wonderful location

There were a lot of bad reviews overall but we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and quite big and the bed was very confy. The only bad thing would be the bathroom because of the shower (water dripping on the floor) but that wasn’t a bid deal. The room was really warm and cozy at night and we enjoyed out stay (we even booked 2 more nights directly to the hotel after our stay ended). Definitely recommend for a cheap stay in South Lake Tahoe.
