Such a wonderful boutique experience

Location. Location. LOCATION! The views and ambiance were wonderful. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly. The bed was so comfy. The lobby was such a cozy place to relax by sitting in front of the beautiful fireplace. The fact that the hotel is connected to the cute little shopping area was a bonus. We loved visiting the brewery. Downtown was only a short drive, but we were anxious to get back on property and enjoy the balcony for people watching. Next time, we will hit the spa.

Would have preferred the shutters over the bath did not open directly into the room. It afforded no privacy in the bathroom. Even if you closed them you could still hear everything. Also the shower is a little too compact. The TV in the bedroom could be a little bigger

Great location especially for a wedding

Promoxity to the beach as well as the wedding venue since we stay here for a wedding. The room was spacious enough for two people, i liked the vaulted ceilings.

There were loud parties/weddings every night which meant people outside of the rooms until really late. You couldn’t have the door open (for a breeze) bc people were so loud.

Most wonderful and relaxing solo getaway!

I don't even know where to begin! Upon arrival, and at check-in, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had an amazing room to celebrate my solo birthday get away, Spa access was easy and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

View, room size and service from front desk.

Disclosure that there were no services (dining, bar, room service) on Mondays-Wednesdays. Disappointing that this was not in any of the media. Only saving grace was there are multiple restaurants within walking distance.

Beautiful, quiet, nicely appointed place to stay for a beach getaway.

Quiet, beautifully appointed, excellent beds, plenty of parking (all sheltered), near lots of restaurants, overlooking harbor, easy access to Pacific Coast Highway, within 5 minutes of decent beaches where you can watch surfers and relax in the foggy sun. It's rather chilly there, which is wonderful if you like that. Don't expect to be able to sunbathe in heat, though. Half Moon Bay is a foggy spot in the summer.

Good…but too much early daylight!

It was clean and well maintained. Free parking!

We were on the third floor. We had cathedral ceilings which meant high windows with no curtains. I was awakened at 5am with daylight in the room. Please install automated black out curtains for the high windows!!!

Incredible

The design is really cool. Spacious rooms. Incredible staff. We went there for my birthday and my daughter had decided to send a bottle of champagne to the room. She said that the staff were super friendly and indeed when we arrived, there were two champagne glasses and a bottle in the fridge. It’s just a beautiful place with an absolutely amazing spa.

I want to know the name brand of the bamboo sheets they are so comfortable!

No staff to help with luggage when we arrived on a weekday. Grounds could be a bit more cleaned up. Desk staff great helping with questions.

Room was large, comfortable, nice. Charming waterfront location in a little harbor about 10 minutes out of the main town with quite a few restaurants and bars nearby.

Distance out of town. Hotel restaurant was meh, nonexistent service. Spa was fine but nothing special and charged prices as if it was a 5 star resort.

Mixed feelings

Nice view from the balcony of the harbor and ocean which are just across the street. Above average room size, could be a good size studio apartment. Several restaurants within easy walking distance. Underground parking. Mattress was firm but comfortable. Short drive to downtown Half Moon Bay.

Room could have used a microwave. Room not remotely close to being soundproof. Could hear toilet flushing and shower running from rooms on either side, housekeeping vacuuming the hall and adjacent rooms, street noise from passing cars. Pillows were too soft for my liking.

Great Getaway close to many dining options and walking

The hotel is spacious and open. The 3-story open lobby makes for a feeling of not being closed in. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The king room facing the harbor is large and has a balcony. The sitting area is separates from the bed by a half wall, giving the bed area a more separate feeling.

The perfect relaxation quiet and restful retreat… we I’ll definitely return ❤️

Easy to access very clean and well maintained our room was beautiful with a living space fireplace, view of the harbor, sunken tub walk-in shower spacious and the sheets were sooooo soft bed comfortable like home and plenty of pillows even had a white noise machine, small fridge kurig and small sink table and chairs for eating in!

The shutters separating the bathroom from the bedroom lacked privacy if someone was t feeling well or had an upset belly… we didn’t but the thought was there what if … lol

We’ve stay here before and love the location. We can walk the beach and restaurants some shops. The bar and grill was open in the restaurant a plus!

The only thing that I would have to complain about is that the restaurant in the hotel is not open on Mondays they are only open Thursday through Sunday.

Wonderful Birthday getaway

Everything was perfect. We had a suite, overlooking the bay. Had a big bathtub and provided bath bombs in the lobby. The weather was great, the mornings were foggy but wonderful. The location and view couldn't have been any better. Room was super quiet too. Fireplace in the living room area.

The room was perfect in every way, except the room was too warm. The thermostat was set to 78 and we could not change it. Thank goodness I bring a little fan on every trip for times like this. Be prepared, all of the eating establishments are overly pricey, every single one. Bring a lot of funds if you want to eat.

Great location! Easy walk to restaurants, beach, and shopping. Fireplace, mini refrigerator, and outdoor patio adjacent to the room. Great view and great customer service from staff. FREE underground safe parking very appreciated!

The room was a bit noisy with refrigerator and other pipe noises, neighboring rooms, and wind sounds from hallway coming underneath the door. Toilet paper shortage. Had to ask for more.

The front desk staff was very attentive and made my birthday weekend special.

Just a suggestion, upgrade the coffee machine in the rooms. Also, have your own microwave in each room instead of having to go to the first floor next to lobby. Update the body products, ie: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. Not everyone likes rosemary/mint scent.

Except for landscaping our stay was very nice.

The location is great! Restaurants are very close with a variety of different food. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice as well. The hotel is very close to shopping and a trip into Half Moon Bay was very interesting. The room was very nice and comfortable. I would recommend staying here for a rewarding experience.

I think it’s sad that you have such poor maintenance when it comes to landscaping. Tall dry weeds, damaged fencing and a water feature that looks like it could be very nice. If it was cleaned up and functional.

The staff were very professional. They were very accommodating when I called about a request. Even went out of their way to make me feel so special for my birthday. Jazmine and Jose were fantastic concierge. Room was very clean and beddings were so soft and comfortable. Love the balcony and the view. Easy basement parking. The surrounding was great and so close to my favorite restaurant Barbara’s Fish Trap which was why I stayed at this location. But we brought our electric scooter and skateboard and kids bike and wagon and we had a great time accessing the beach all around the harbor. The shops and restaurants connected to the hotel was great. We enjoyed some desserts and went to the Taffy shop.

The bathroom toilet was extremely loud when flushing. When you have kids you try to tip toe around when they’re asleep but the toilet is enough to make you nervous when flushing during bedtime. People’s voices in the hallways echoed very badly into the room but I played brown noise to keep the kids from waking up. I was tempted to open my door to tell people to keep it down when they were so loud for way too long and it was midnight. Another issue if I had to name one would be the price. We stayed at the second floor double Queen room and it may just be the season but with taxes it was $440. I think for that price maybe continental breakfast or a heated pool would be nice. But it was our choice to pay to be in a better location. But maybe off season will be cheaper
