The host was very welcoming and helpful, and informed us about most important city spots and events during our stay. The apartment is located in the city center, but in a calm, side street, so it was really quiet. The room is nothing fancy, but it's lovely and comfortable. There are also thick curtains (not totally blackout, but enough) and mosquito window screen, so during warmer nights you can keep the window open all time. The bathroom was nice and clean, and all necessary toiletries, towels and bed linen supplied. There was also a small fridge available in the corridor, so you can actually leave some fresh food there, if you need.
Bed mattress was a bit too soft, but otherwise the bed was comfortable.

Location is super, some corners from the very center, but not shops/restaurants so it is quiet.
The bathroom was like new, I have never seen such a beautiful and clean bathroom, with two sinks, like in the movies.
The fridge is not in the room, so no additional noise at night.
The host was very kind and helpful. She could help you promptly.
The bed had two mattresses: a thinner one on top and a thicker, very soft one underneath. The soft one was too uncomfortable for me (although my wife liked it), so I removed it and slept on the thinner mattress placed directly on the bed base, which was much better. Unfortunately, I didn’t figure this out until after the first night, so I barely slept then—though the second night was fine.
The apartment layout might be challenging for some guests. The entrance is on the ground floor, and the staircase first leads to the bathroom on a mezzanine level. From there, a few more steep and narrow steps lead up to the main room. This setup could be difficult for elderly guests and is likely unsuitable for people with mobility issues.
The fridge is on the ground floor. It is much better then in the room (I hate listen to the fridge at night), but you have to use the stairs to reach it.

Communication with the host was great. She was very responsive and accommodating.
The location was amazing. So close to the centre, but we didn't find it particularly noisy at night, even though we were so central - perhaps because we were not right on top of any bars or clubs.
We got a bus from the train station which took about 15 minutes perhaps. Then it was just a short walk to the B&B. Really easy and again, our host sent us all the information for how to get there.
The room was a great size and we found the beds comfortable and there was space to put suitcases too.
The breakfast was wonderful! Very good value, delicious and definitely sets you up for the day!
Overall, I would recommend this B&B and would definitely return if we go back to Bruges.
We knew these two points before booking, decided it would be ok for us for a few days, so we booked anyway. For some, they won't be important at all, but they will be negatives for other people, so I will explain them here to help people choose the right place for them:
1. the stairs - the stairs going up to both guest rooms are narrow and circular (meaning that the inner side of the step is even narrower than the outer one, making it almost triangular in places). They are definitely a bit tricky to climb with cabin suitcase - I would not want to try getting a full sized suitcase up them. My husband and I are in our 40s and both able-bodied, so the stairs themselves were OK, as long as we went up and down carefully. I would not recommend if you have any mobility issues.
2. there are two private bathrooms on a mezzanine level, which are for the two guest rooms on the first floor (i.e. not ground floor, for those who count differently). The room key and bathroom key is the same. Again, not a major issue, but sometimes it did feel like a bit of a hassle having to go to the bathroom with a key and then lock it with the key from the inside. I would have preferred having a code or some other way so as not to have to take the key with me to the bathroom and lock myself inside each time. This could also be an issue for people who don't want to leave their room unlocked while they are in the bathroom or if you want to get into the bathroom while one of your travelling companions is in there with the door locked, e.g. to check on them or to get something. Note - the host is always on hand and very responsive, so any I'm sure she would be able to assist with an issue or possibly provide a second key if requested.
Overall though, the positives far outweigh the negatives and if you are not travelling with a ton of luggage and are OK with narrow stairs, then it is really a great place to stay in Bruges.

Perfect location right in the centre within walking distance to shops and stunning sites. Quiet, spotlessly clean and the most friendly accomodating host, Viviane. Highly recommend!!

Incredible location right in the heart of Bruge without being noisy. Big room that was enjoyable to be in. Lovely owner who made us feel at home. Amazing holiday that was made even better by such a lovely hotel.

Charming well maintained house in a great location, you get a free shuttle from the station. The room and bathroom sizes were bigger than we expected. .
Vivien is a great host, with attention to detail, for example umbrellas for guests in case it's raining. Don't miss the great breakfast at only 8€ per person. We would stay again if we had a chance.
The steps are quite narrow and can be a hassle to carry heavier pieces of luggage up. The bathroom, not attached and across the corridor was a minor inconvenience but that didn't bother us much (it's exclusive access for the room)

friendly, helpful, attentive staff. Great location.
Could be more comfortable. the beds could be more comfortable but we’re good enough to sleep well. The bathroom was located outside the room, but not a hazle. The stairs were too narrow and steep to carry heavy or big luggage

For the second year in a row, Adonis B&B gave us a home away from home and a base to spend the Christmas break. The place is just as excellent as the year before, and thank you Viviane once more for your hard work.

Vivienne was super nice and the room was perfect! She told us about a little market at the time we were there and we loved it :) She was there for everything we needed and the location was perfect.
Honestly I wouldn’t change anything, for the price you can’t ask for more.

In the heart of Bruges, this small guesthouse is wonderful. The stairs up to our room were charming, albeit a little steep. Parking is close. Our host was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable - the only air-conditioned room on our 18 day European tour! The bathroom was across the hall from the room - not a problem for us but worth mentioning.

We specially like the location, it was perfect, just 4 minutes walking to the main square. Then, the room was quite big, so we have not problem to be all together there. Last but not least, the attention of our host was perfect, she was always worry for us to be satisfied and comfortable with great suggestions to do in Brugges.

If you go to Brugge, you definitely should stay at Guest House Adonis.
Vivianne, the owner, is very nice and kind.
The house is small, it has two bedrooms and two private bathrooms separated from the rooms. This is not an inconvenience, since you just have to walk a few steps to get to the bathroom, which is comfortable, clean and big, well equipped with amenities, and the water is warm and has an excellent pressure.
The room is big and very comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in, really. It has space to store your luggage, an electric kettle, some teas, cups and sugar, and a lavatory.
For extra 7€, Vivianne brings a breakfast to your bedroom. You should definitely order this breakfast: it had everything and was delicious.
The location was just unbeatable: 400m from Grote Markt, the main square in Brugge. It was also really near to cute cafés and restaurants, and some supermarkets.
It was a delightful stay, thank you Vivianne!
Everything was perfect!

Viviane is very nice and kind. The room was very comfortable for us. I travel with my husband and my daughters of 6 months old and the other one of 3 years old and the room was spacious for us. Place very clean and the beds comfortable.

Central location - everything close nearby. Warm welcoming host!! Good value for money. Well preserved facilities in good conditions.
Might not be suitable for people with limited mobility, very steep steps.

Each and every getaway in Bruges is unforgettable, and our Christmas this year was no exception. We spent a few wonderful days in Bruges and traveled around a lot. B&B Adonis is located in a wonderful place on a quiet street but still just a few minutes walk from most attractions in the city. Viviane deserves a special acknowledgment for her hospitality, for that we are especially thankful.
Other reviews have mentioned WC separate from the room itself, which was absolutely no problem for us because every means to use it are provided for. Staircase is indeed steep and may be not suitable if you're unfit, however you can do nothing when you are in a historic building, which is I think impossible to restructure.

The establishment and all the rooms were very clean and the building is very close to the city center. The location is near the main roads but quiet none the less! The hostess was very polite and helpful with everything we needed! Generally it is very good quality stay for the required money.
The stairs are quite narrow, so it is possible that someone could face a problem with that. Also, the sound insulation is not very good. The bathroom is separate from the main room but still it's close to it.
