This was our 2nd favorite stay anywhere, second only to our honeymoon in1992!!! Everything was spotless, smelled fresh, all appliances worked, it was definitely worth the higher cost for the extra sized lodging with the "spa bubble tub"!!! The Indian Food restaurant, just a 3 minute stroll a crossed the parking lot was wonderful food & service!

Our schedule only allowed us to stay two nights. We will certainly stay there again!

Our New Favorite Gorge Hotel

Check in was quick and easy! Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is pet friendly!

The entrance and driveway, while nicely decorated for the holidays, could be better marked and lit. The wooden walkways at Riverview building can be treacherous when wet. More than one slip was had.

Beautiful Views and Exceptional Hospitality

Our stay was truly wonderful. The room was extremely clean, very spacious, and beautifully comfortable. The atmosphere across the hotel was peaceful and welcoming, and the views were absolutely incredible — waking up to such scenery was unforgettable. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. They even called us the day before to remind us about our reservation, which we really appreciated. It showed how well they take care of their guests and how organized they are. I genuinely wish we could have stayed longer. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe, and enjoy every moment. We will definitely return.

Perfect way to spend our 26th anniversary.

The views and location for nearby hikes were perfect. After hiking all day it was nice to have a place to make food in our room and relax in front of the fireplace.

Very nice getaway on a lovely setting.

The room was comfortable and clean. The view was beautiful! We loved the flowering gardens all about the property. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The fridge was complicated to turn on and only worked marginally even when we figured out how to turn it on. It would be nice to have a snack of some sort in the morning since so many hotels include a full breakfast.

Lovely location and property, rooms are large!

The rooms are huge and clean! They came with wine glasses and an opener. Loved the property itself - lovely flowers - an area to view and enjoy the Columbia River.

Staff was very rude about allowing late check out and I felt rushed.

Beautiful cabin fabulous vacation and the views of the Hood River gorge were absolutely stunning

We had the cutest cabin all to ourselves and the pictures didn’t show it but it’s a two bedroom two bath with three sinks and a full kitchen! It was unbelievably large with a fireplace ,two chairs to sit out front. And then walk 50 feet and you are at the river with a beautiful backyard full of flowers that overlooks the gorge with stunning Views for days!

Room was spacious and clean. I liked that you had all of the things needed to cook a full meal in the kitchen. Refrigerator was clean and the pots and pans and dishware was ample! :-)

TV was awkward in the location, would have liked it facing the bed, as the couch was low to the ground and a bit hard. It would have been much more comfortable with the TV in a different location. Putting a Dura-flame in the room to start a fire in the wood burning fireplace would have been helpful. Wood and paper were provided, but kenneling was only available by visiting the office.

It was a very comfortable and quiet space and that is just what I needed.

I love the view of the courtyard and how quiet it is. The upper floor rooms are beatufiul with vaulted ceilings. Very comfortable. A great value for the price.

The HVAC unit is very noisy when it comes on. I found a pair of socks on one of the chairs at the desk which made me feel that the cleaners were not very thorough.

Reasonable pricing, right off the freeway, but rooms are quiet, comfortable beds, very clean.

The grounds were absolutely beautiful, tons of beautiful flowers and landscaping which we very much enjoyed. Rooms and beds were comfortable, very clean, staff was very kind.

We didn’t expect this location to be literally right next to the freeway, the photos online did not show this. Very loud freeway noise, but I will say once we got inside the rooms it was pretty quiet. They do advertise that they have soundproofed rooms, and they definitely make the difference. If you don’t mind freeway noise when you’re walking around outside, then this is definitely a great place to stay. The front desk clerk did offer earplugs if we needed them when sleeping, we didn’t. Also didn’t expect…There are several buildings that you can stay in, the photos only show one building. We thought we would be in a building next to the river, even though we didn’t have river view….We were the closest building to the freeway. If you didn’t mind taking a little walk, you could walk to the back of the property, the river view and the gardens were absolutely beautiful! For the pricepoint, if we were just looking for a place to stay, and not walking around outside too much, (because of the freeway noise ) we would definitely stay here again, it was comfortable.

Exceptional!

The grounds are absolutely stunning! Visited in October and all the flowers were still in full bloom. The office is outdated and smelled musty. For a first impression, it made me leary of what to expect in the room. However, the room we had was pleasantly done, clean & the bathroom was huge! Easy access to highway. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved the grounds! Loved the flowers and the view! We had a two queen bed cottage and we loved the spaciousness. We liked having the kitchen.

The master bath had only a jacuzzi tub. Not sure if online pics show this. We used the other bathroom and the small vanity in the hallway, so we were comfortable.

Great staff, clean room, comfy beds, excellent kitchen - the best was the view of the river and watching the windsurfers! We loved walking the grounds. We came with a small dog and he was in heaven! Easy drive to downtown Hood River, the Fruit Loop, and wineries! Also - the landscaping on the property is top notch!

the flower gardens were incredible very nice room and brow from the balcony

the next door “business” (bar? restaurant? )played such loud music from 7-10 pm the 2 nites we were there, you could hear it in the room with a heavy base vibration. although the first nite was a wedding, my guess is this is a common occurrence. it sounded like a loud concert w not just the music but the audience as well. the manager told us this they quit at 10pm. Seems like they can’t do anything. maybe check out the noise ordinance for the town. and ps: I like rowdy concerts but not next to where I m staying.
