This hotel it’s perfect compromise if you search a place for one night to visit Big Sur and the coas

We have chosen this hotel after our visit of Big Sur. It was perfect for that and for visiting Monterey. The room was great and the staff was welcoming.

There isn’t place for breakfast, it was only oossible innour room. But the staff gave us fruits, coffee and yogourt.

It was terrible!

There was no breakfast

They have false advertising their office was a little desk in the gas station in the back. The person that checked us in was never there and advised as a hotel! This is a motel and not even close to the sea. No sign it took us over 30 minutes to find the so-called hotel and for 2 nights $1200 a rip off

My new go-to stay for the area!

Great location, shares a lot/parking with a gas station which is convenient imo, quiet (minus the person above our room), very spacious, clean room, comfy bed, and very helpful and friendly staff

There was some construction (lobby renovation) and a very noisy upstairs guest, but these were minor compared to the positives

Basic hotel without some amenities lacking

Hotel rooms were refurbished and clean. Staff were approachable.

The hotel office was non-existent as it was being renovated. However, it seemed like this was a permanent situation with the office being run as a convenience store, and an adjacent room serving as the check in/storage/breakfast service area. There is also a gas station as part of the premises. Also there wasn't a real breakfast as advertised. Only the option of making coffee in the check in area with a coffee maker such as in the rooms. And the offer of bananas which were past their prime so we passed. There's no elevator if you have an upstairs room which is very difficult for some as it was for me (I had injured my knee and was limping/could not put weight on it).

Modest, clean accommodation with good amenities at a fair price.

Good sized room. Very clean. Extra small towels. Sufficient outlets for devices with USB ports. Far enough from the road that it was quiet.

Hair dryer didn't work. Some outlets and USB ports didn't work. The refrigerator kept coming on and was louder than a hum.

Really the only issue I came across at this property was that they placed us in a Queen double bed room when I had booked a single King room but I understand that we arrived at quite a late time and it was also Valentine’s Day so all the single Kings sold out before we arrived at the location

It was very close to where I had to be.

The selection of breakfast. I have to watch my sugar and I love the yogurt and fruit but the nutri-grain bars and another chocolate bar also had a lot of sugar. Just a better selection for customers to choose from.

So my partner and I made a last minute decision and booked a night at this property. I have always driven by this property and was pleasantly surprised to see that the property was actually quite nice. The front desk receptionist was really nice and helpful! When arriving to our room we were happy to see that it was clean and spacious! The bed was surprisingly comfortable as well! My partner and I have stayed in pricier properties with beds that weren’t comfortable whatsoever so staying here for a pretty cheap price and having a good bed was awesome. There really wasn’t anything to complain about at the property and we would definitely stay here again!

The place was clean and shower and bed was ok!

Pictures posted on Booking doesn’t reflect the real room. All pictures are artistic. The room is old, dark with lights down. Booking show a clear wall and a clear place. And the hotel is located behind a gas station with a rudge circulation near your door. Breakfast was in a little table near the front desk. Bug difference from the picture posted on booking. And please no excuses that is about Covid - anyone there - front desk, employees was using masks or any other kind of protection.
