The Interieur of the Ryokan is so nice! The staff is friendly and the rooms are beautyfull! We got an upgrade an had a provate onsen which was so generous.

It was such a lovely experience to spend our night at Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya. All staff are friendly with warm smiles, as its name 😊
It is very clean. I am very impressed when I see the lady at the front desk even clean the suitcases’ wheels for us before guiding us to the room.
The food and services were excellent. Especially with the food, they are very careful with the preparation, since we have some food restrictions.
It is also close to Yamadera. Therefore, I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a place to spend the night near Yamadera.

Utterly beautiful, the staff were lovely and extremely helpful (such as taking us to and from Tendo station in a minivan), the food was to die for as were the onsens. I want to come back if i ever have a honeymoon
Only one negative and that was uncomfortable pillows, however i think that may be less of a problem with this hotel, and more of a problem with japanese vs western pillows. Because the pillows in Sendai were just as, if not more, uncomfortable. You can feel multiple hard ridges running down the pillow. Still would 100% recommend though but if you want a good nights sleep maybe bring your own pillow as i slept only 5 hours
