Hampton Inn New Albany Louisville West

Clean, comfortable and quiet! The breakfast was standard fare but much appreciated. We were stopping over for one night on a longer road trip and the location was perfect for getting on and off the highway but being close to restaurants in New Albany. Would stay again!

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in New Albany on a trip to ride a dozen or so bike trails around the southeast and midwest. I chose the hotel because it was located about a mile from the western end of the Ohio River Greenway. I pleasantly discovered that the hotel was also within walking distance of a downtown area with a number of restaurants and bars. The facility was in good repair, the room a decent size and clean, and the fitness room was small, but equipped with a Peloton bike, treadmill, and elliptical, as well as a nice range of free weights. For those who like to watch themselves lift or otherwise exercise, there are two very large mirrors as one end of the room. I needed to chose to extend my stay while there and the staff was very professional and helpful in arranging this. The heating/air conditioning in my room seemed not to work well (not matter the settings I entered on the thermostat, the equipment would run sporadically for a minute or two, then quit - and repeated the pattern throughout my stay. I must admit, I was so tired every night that I never mentioned it to the staff. In all, a good value in comparison to the other hotel options available in the area. I could comfortably have stayed longer, would definitely stay again in in the area, and would recommend it.

I liked that they had water and coffee available free all the time . The bed was comfortable. The tv selections were better than most hotels where I’ve stayed .

I had either a mosquito or bed bugs in my room . I reported it to the person at the desk and she did not know what to do about it . She did put a battery in my thermostat after I moved into the room . She also messed up my manner of payment . My credit card was supposed to be used for incidentals only but she charged my room to it after I told here I was paying by Booking.com! It took me two days to speak to. Gentlemen who straightened it out . I did appreciate him doing that in a timely manner .

Ease of check in and comfort of beds

It was kind of tricky getting to the hotel parking lot with the weird one way street U-turn direction and the majority of the parking lot was closed due to repaving.

Location was great, nice safe neighborhood. I could bring my dog, free parking. Very clean room, temp controls worked and quiet rooms!

The staff was very friendly

Our curtains in the room were ripped, our room view consisted of the dumpsters and the transactions that happen in the night. Not a great part of town. Beds were very hard.

Chris welcomed us and was very polite, lobby was clean and inviting.

Everything in my room was clean except the shower head, which was surprisingly very dirty with black and pink build up from I guess soap scum and dirt. I didn't notice this until a few hours into my stay I had already unpacked.. I called the desk where I told him of my problem and he said that he was the only one there and no one would be there until the morning and I said so I paid over $125 for this room that I can't take a shower in? He sounded very irritated at me and said we could change rooms so we had to pack up all our stuff and go down to the front desk to get new room keys and went to the new room where the showerhead was better but not clean like it should be... later we went out for dinner and the employee whom told me no one could help me until morning was sitting in the lobby reclined with a few of his buddies instead of doing his job.. don't remember his name. The next morning we went down for free breakfast about 8:30 there were 20 or so people waiting for more food to be brought out about 9 we gave up and went to McDonald's because they never brought anything else out.

The rooms were very clean and roomy, breakfast was quite good also.

Room was clean, beds were comfy, and the breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast could start before 7am. Bathrooms only had two towels which is fine but a few more would have been nice. The hotel had a power surge and we lost power for a little while and the hotel seemed short staffed and he seemed to handle it well.

I was using the bathroom in our room and had looked at the toiletries that were complementary and accidentally knocked over the mouthwash and it spilled everywhere and the lid came off. My friend and I hadn’t been opened any of the complementary toiletries so the mouthwash had to have already been used because to close the cap you snap it back on pretty harshly and there was also no seal on it.

I liked that it was clean.

Our air didn’t work moved us room then our bathroom light didn’t work told front desk told me they had a leak that messed up wiring nothing they could do about it so we had to take lamp into bathroom to have light

I booked this room as a surprise "Staycation" for my mother's birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, amenities and aesthetic of this hotel especially for the price. The location is convenient, rooms are nice sized and the breakfast made it such a great value. Highly recommend and will stay again

We had a wonderful experience at the Hampton In New Albany. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. Property is clean and has a fantastic old town charm; it had an extra security at the front doors and large parking lot. Breakfast is very good, and breakfast area is exceptionally clean . Cofee is provided all day long. The room was wonderful, spacey and clean, confortable beds. Overall we liked the cleanless of the hotel. The location is very close to downtown New Albany.

Breakfast was okay.

I booked three rooms using Priceline. I picked three rooms that were Queen Room with Two Queen Beds. When checking into the hotel, the lady told us that one of our rooms was changed to a king room. We decided we could make that work, but then as we went to the rooms all of them were king rooms. We ended up having to pay another $395.86 for another hotel room for two nights. She told me that we are to not book through Priceline because you do not get the rooms you want. She said she had given our rooms away to other guests. I called Priceline (booking.com) to talk to customer service. The same lady then told the Booking.com man that their system was new and lost our rooms for us. So, she was lying to someone. I have been using Priceline for 13 years and I have never had this problem. The rudeness of her was unbelievable and I do not like being lied too. It was not a good experience with Hampton, which is a hotel I liked to use. If you are not going to stand by Priceline, then do not have a contract with their service. I was refunded $52.54 but that is nothing to the extra $395.86 we had to spend because they did not provide what we purchased. We were there for Nationals Archery, so it was a sport related trip that ended up costing the group more.
