Hotel is OK but all the charges for things that most other hotels give free is very annoying

The breakfast was a swindle. Although I booked and paid for a free breakfast it turns out you only get up to 30 dollars and surprise surprise a "basic" breakfast costs more and a decent breakfast even more than that.

Breakfast was a ripoff, bottle of water in the room in 7 dollars and wifi is 15 dollars a night. No free wifi

Excellent stay - cannot wait to come back!

We love this hotel. We have stayed here 3 times already. The hotel itself is wonderful, the view of the water is a treat, and Burlingame is a cute town with lots of great shops and restaurants. The airport shuttle is also a bonus - it runs every 15 minutes. And, if you stay here, do NOT MISS eating at the New England Lobster Company - it is within walking distance and is VERY VERY good!! (ANd, we live in New England, so we should know!!)

An outdated dump

Well... It's next to the airport, and you have a nice view from the bar. That's about it.

Stayed here 12 years ago and it was a nice experience. However, nothing has been updated since then, everything feels like it's 25 years old. The staff were dismissive, the pool that used to exist is now gone ("because of covid", but really it's to save money). The room is poorly designed and ugly, the beds are very old and saggy and on visible supports that are cheap and tacky. When I sat down I practically sank to the floor they're so soft. They also have a label indicating which months they should be rotated, but clearly haven't been. Both sink and tub tap had dark brown water come out, even if you ran them for a while the water was tan, with sizable black particles floating in it. I brushed my teeth with bottled water. The TV doesn't even have basic cable, the coffee station is set up far from any outlet with poor quality coffee. Worst of all: PAID WIFI. We're in Silicon Valley in 2025, not 1999. When I checked out all I got was "bye", no "how was your stay"etc. I've stayed at two other Marriott's in the last 2 years and both those properties were head and shoulders above this one. Never coming back.

Great Staff covering for terrible management decisions

Food was 60 dollar voucher, which is not enough for 4 people and also the price difference between the room without food and room with food. Parking was an additional 48USD which also wasn’t clear on the the page when we booked. So the property is in fact much more expensive than advertised for a family.

Hope I could get a better sleep!

Good location , clean.

I stayed with family for two days . I reported that AC was not working in the night but maintenance guy offered me another room in the middle of the of the night I refused as it was not easy to change the room . Next day morning I informed the front staff and he said he’ll take care . But in the night when we got back there was no change in the situation and they don’t even care to call me or explain about the resolution . I called them and they offered me room change I told them it was too late .

The hotel has good soul.

The front desk lady was very helpful by writing down directions to different malls in the area. She also suggested to me by dropping my car off at the airport and getting a shuttle to the hotel. Long day but very insightful. They have everything here, a mini city! The king size room with a beautiful view of the bay. Walking area. Shuttle. Miss breakfast in the morning due to flight in am.

A little expensive. Create a more flexible menu with adding various sandwiches that are more affordable. To go breakfast for those who have to leave early in the morning. Not too charged for water. Better food menu plus sourdough bread!! We are in San Francisco!!!

Overcharging made the expereince irritating and unpleasant

Nice room,comfortable bed and shower.

First, our room was next to a utilities elevator shaft, and the noise was so loud, we had to move rooms, as it woke us up several times in the night. I asked if there had been previous complaints, and they said not. I coudn't believe anyone could sleep through through that level of noise. It sounded like an axe grinder. It was hard to believe we were the first to complain. Also, lots of unpleasant 'stealth' extras, which made the whole stay feel like a rip off. Paying extra for wifi in the room, when it is free in the common areas was extremely irritating, and highly unusual for a modern hotel. It felt like a penalty for being a guest. The parking was extortionate for an airport hotel, and the ticketing system was not explained clearly at check in so we were charged double becuase we left the property in the evening. It took some haggling at the front desk to reduce the cost to what it should have been, for an overnight stay. Finally the breakfast charges. I booked a 'breakfast included' rate for our family of three, but was told we had only two complimentary breakfasts, and had to pay for the third. This made no sense. there was no option on the booking, other than 'breakfast included' for ALL guests, i.e. 3. When I pointed this out at the reception they said this must have been an issue on the Booking.com website. I argued that I've been booking with the site for decades, and never encountered issue, so was more likely to be a Marriott issue. After breakfast, they brought a bill for all three of us. Apparently, the breakfast included' rate wasn't on their system, so I had to argue again, in order to get teh two complimentary breakfasts I'd paid for. Altogether, the Marriott experience felt mean and unhospitable. This wasn't the fault of the staff, who I sensed have to deal with complaints like this on a regular basis, and are ina. difficult position, with the company policy to overcharge on every aspect they can.

Perfect way to recharge after a long haul flight

The location right on the water was appealing - I could go for a long walk. I liked that there was a restaurant and Starbucks there so I had everything thing I needed to recharge after a long haul flight. The shuttle to the airport was really handy. Airport hotels are often not very nice places to hang out but this was an exception. There was even a rainbow on my walk.

Lovely.

The first thing I noticed when walking into the room was how clean it smelled. You don't get that fresh scent at some of the other hotels I've stayed at. I also liked that the bathroom floor didn't get wet from me taking a shower. The shower curtains were great and the bath gel smelt wonderful. I didn't want to get out of the shower...

A higher floor, a bay view... but that's on me cause I forgot to ask for that when I was checking in.

Didn't get the room I was expecting. Bayview implies a water view but it was only a partial water view. Close to the airport so heard planes all night. Also heard the shuttle bus beeping below the room every half hour when it reversed out of the driveway. Recommend getting a waterfront room if you want a view.

Water front view was amazing.

Our first room we requested a waterfront view. We were put in a semi water front view non of the usb plugs worked. The view from our room didn’t complete a water view….others can have full view into your room and the tvs were small. Parking prices were extremely over priced.

Staffs, at check in lock us to M club without notice that we have to pay more. We asked about detail of charged later, front guy said not polite and not clear. Room service went to make my room around 3:30 pm, not normal time to do it? Should be late morning before noon? We should this hotel because not just close to airport, but free wifi is shown in booking.com, unfortunately we can not access free wifi in our room, we have to pay daily. Otherwise, we must go down and connect wifi in lobby area!
