SoHo Grand is our go to hotel in NYC if we're planning to be in the downtown area. The location is great - close to shops, galleries, and restaurants. We had an amazing view (skyline with Empire State Bldg.) from our room on the 15th floor. The bed and bedding were super comfortable! I loved having the Nespresso machine in the room, as well as all the snacks and drinks in the mini bar. The shower water pressure is good, and the bathroom design is nice. We had drinks and a snack at the lounge, and it was very enjoyable.
There was a private event going on in the bar/lounge one night during our stay which made it a bit crazy but other than that, it was fine. The good thing is that we were on a higher floor so we couldn't hear it.

I really enjoyed the room, the friendly staff and the bed was very very comfortable
I wish I had a better idea of when the dog park was open or closed.

The immense loudness because the soho grand has turned into a nightclub that happens to be a hotel. The entire focus is on the loud music events and the hotel has become a side show.
