Okay but could have been better.

Our "complimentary" breakfast voucher was only good for one person---my husband had to pay for his breakfast. However the food was good.

Elevator wasn't working. We were on the 4th floor so had 8 flights of stairs to go up and down. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Liked the view.

Good hotel

Happy with the hotel and breakfast - friendly staff and great value for money.

My only complaint is that breakfast for only one person is included (you need to buy a second coupon). This seems to be a flaw with the booking.com page, not with the hotel itself - the hotel desk explains their policy clearly, and the staff were very friendly (and apologetic) in clarifying it, but the booking.com page simply says that breakfast is included.

Affordable, clean, and comfortable

Great location beside the marina. Comfortable beds and a range of pillows. Loved Goldy the goldish in the lobby. Friendly staff. Got a good bagged breakfast including drink, yogurt, fruit, boiled egg, and muffin due to the restaurant undergoing an upgrade. Great price for the quality of the stay.

Carpet in unit was dirty and worn needs to be replaced, breakfast was in a paper bag. Was disgustingly poor choice on their part..half muffin and quarter of an apple wrapped up.not what we expected.

A comfortable room to relax in before the rush to board the ferry.

Breakfast baggie was great, since we had to rush to the ferry. Hotel comfy and room had a nice view of the harbour.

Comfortable stay but slightly expensive.

I feel the breakfast was average and a bit understaffed. Rooms were good but washrooms could do with an upgrade. The hairdryer wasn't working and the plug in the TV for satellite TV was faulty.

Beautiful harbour town feel. The price seemed high when compared to what we can get elsewhere for the same standard.

Handy & pleasant place to stay for early ferry departures

We stayed here because we had a very early ferry to catch in the morning.(5:30 AM line up) The room had a view of the harbor and we could see our car in the lot below which was great since we left most of our belongings there rather than have to pack early. We enjoyed walking around the town. The front desk attendant gave us a list of local restaurants and was friendly. For our purposes, this was a good choice. We missed the breakfast but they provided a packed light lunch for the ferry ride.

It's not fancy but our room was clean, comfortable and well located.

We did not get the room we paid for - Ocean View

The room was spacious. We booked King Suite.

Only reason we booked this hotel was to have ocean view. We booked and paid extra for king suite with an ocean view. We arrived late on the ferry and although dark, could see we were second floor and no ocean view. I immediately went down to the lady that booked us in and showed her our reservation of ocean view. She told us it was ocean view. When we saw views next morning, they are definitely NOT oceanview. No offer of an ocean view room and my credit card was charged in full. The beds have a very thin uncomfortable mattress. The key cards to enter the rooms are hit and miss. You never know when you will get access to your room. This was only an issue with our room but saw several other posts referring to the same. When we went down for second time to say our keys would not give us access, the man came up to the room with us trying to "show us" how to use the cards for entry and at the time I confirmed with him that there was no air conditioning and as soon as he got the door opened (it also took him several attempts) he walked straight into the room without asking, walked between my open suitcases from the night before, opened up a window in the main room (has no screen) and then proceeded to turn on a desktop fan on the top of the TV cabinet without asking. We stayed at 7 different hotels on this latest trip, so many exceeded our expectations but this one was a disappointment. We expect to be reimbursed the difference we paid for the Oceanview room that we did not receive and will update the review if if and when that happens. Great time. Great view on one of the local marinas. Lots of bald eagles in surroundings.

Breakfast was advertised as a continental breakfast. We were happily surprised to see a full breakfast buffet (no pancakes nor waffles).

Hot plates were not turned on, resulting in hash brown potatoes and scrambled eggs being served cold on multiple days. Having local or experienced kitchen staff may have helped with implementing breakfast standards.

A friendly staffed hotel trying to please everyone

The location was good as we wanted to go whale watching out of Port Hardy. The staff were very friendly and were trying very hard to please everyone.

The noise made by mainly men who seemed to be in groups off fishing early in the morning or going for the ferry to Prince Rupert. The breakfast could have been warmer, the o Hot water could have been hotter for tea and coffee drinks

Ideal if catching a ferry

Very handy location if you are catching a ferry. Very spacious room although there is one light only for the room itself. Couple of stains on the carpet. Very comfortable bed.

I was a bit annoyed with the young staff as I was told that I was going to charged again after I paid booking.com. Luckily the issues was escalated to Mrs Jenny, I guess the manager, who advised that I wasn't going to be charged twice.

The staff were great and very helpful. They offered a breakfast to go which was great as I was catching the ferry. The room was clean and comfortable. Had a view of the marina.

The only problem was that the hotel doors were very loud when they closed. Was a bit disruptive when trying to sleep.

Stay elsewhere

The shower had good water pressure, bathroom did not have moldy caulking.

Old. Carpets need replacing, moldy and disgusting. Door jam has been pried open previously with a crow bar. Placed chair against door for added security. Empty Kleenex box. Towels were stale. Checked in after midnight with about 10 other parties. Another patron was trying to access an neighbouring room x3. Key didn’t work, she went back to the desk for another key and then found someone who was asleep in the room. Third time a staff person came up with master keys and couldn’t get in. I felt sorry for her as she had a young child and elderly parent with her. Staff speak no english. Way overpriced for what you get. Sketchy at best. One star rating Taking advantage of a captive arrival of late night ferry travellers. Tiles in hallway are clean but noisy.
