Loved the pools prior to the weekend.
Didn’t love the loud music all day at the pools and lounge chairs were limited . During the weekend we could not find an empty lounge chair .
Our room was dark and the bed was not comfortable.
Nothing special for Valentine’s Day.. not even any decorations in the dining room .
5.0 / 10.0
Very nice pools, paths, palm trees
The beds were terrible! We moved to a different room after one sleepless night. But it didn’t matter because the next room’s bed was just as bad.

I wish I had been told about the construction

The restaurant, although hard to find because of construction, was excellent and service was great.
Property was under a major renovation and would have never booked had we knew this at time of reserving. too spread out and too much walking for older person. First night the walkway to my room was not lite and a person with a flashlight assisted me to my room. I asked the best to move to another room closer so less walking to restaurant and lobby but she replied my type was not near the office. I said then what do you have and she replied, I reminded her of her grandma??????

The resort was under renovation, there was no warning on Booking.com. A section of the lobby was under renovation and the main pool was closed. We were most impacted by the gym being closed as it was the reason we booked the Double tree.
Nevertheless the staff were incredible, the team at the front desk did what they could to help make things right and they turned around our initial disappointment. We loved the cookies and water.
The free shuttle was fantastic and Greg was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend visiting Doubletree Hilton in Paradise Valley/ Scottsdale. We had a lovely time.
The renovations and the fact they were not outlined on Booking.com

Great location. Very large property.
Very dated room. Stains on the carpet. Thermostat was barely clinging to the wall and required maintenance to change from A/C to heat. Common areas were undergoing renovations. Staircase full of leaves. I was there an entire week, the leaves were never cleared off.

The location was excellent and in close proximity to our event.
We had lunch at the restaurant and it the service and food were excellent.
Given the large size of the hotel and its spread out design it was difficult to find our room. Improved signage would be helpful.
All the remodeling and parking barriers put up because of it made it even morre difficult to navigate through property.

The hotel would have been perfectly nice except for the huge building works that were going in November 2025, which somehow the hotel had conveniently forgot to mention. The main pool was out and we had to pass through noise and dust every day to get to our room. Once this work has been done, I'm sure it'll be a great choice again but at the time of writing , that wasn't the case.
The hotel should either have been closed during the renovations or the fact that they were taking place should have been clearly advertised beforehand, and the price adjusted accordingly. The price was mysteriously dropped by about $100, but the reason wasn't clear.

The property was lovely even though under heavy construction. The manager was at the front desk when I checked in and she was terrific. She remembered me from a call we had a week ago about logistics. So friendly and accommodating. It set the tone for a great stay even though brief.
Construction prevented /made it difficult to see the whole property but to be expected.

The pools were nice and I liked the sprawling nature of the property.
The property was under construction while there, which was not made clear prior to booking. Additionally, a staff member checked me in under another guests reservation, never asked for my ID at check in, and shared my room number with another guest when they asked.

The reception staff was very friendly and helpful
Resort has very nice landscaping and pool areas
Parking all around the hotel, so you never have to walk far to your room
Spacious and clean rooms
The large renovation going on made it difficult to navigate inside the resort
Resort is located right next to a very busy street
Not much going on in the direct area of the resort, although the city center is quite close by car.

The grounds at night were dark & need more lighting in walkways.

The staff was very helpful when I had an issue with the first room. The location is good and central for Scottsdale activities.
I feel like since I booked through Booking.com I was given an extreme budget room. The first room smelled like cigarettes covered by fragrance. I asked for another room and was given one. The second room had stains on the ground, couch and chair. The bathroom was dirty with visible gunk around the shower. The bed had a large indent on one side. There was water damage on the TV stand. In the middle of the night, the TV turned on with a Welcome note. I turned it off and 20 mins later, it turned back on. I had to unplug to make sure it didn't happen again.

The room was enormous, with plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Bed was comfortable, water pressure amazing, and the pools were fine. The staff was notably helpful and polite. The location in Scottsdale was convenient (although a long walk from the center of Scottsdale, if that is importantly to you). Value for money was excellent.
The entire lobby is undergoing renovation, with the attendant dust and disruption. The guest rooms, while clean, are tired. It’s an old feeling resort.

Pretty courtyard and pools.
Gross splatter on wall and when we called to have it cleaned it was never cleaned (we stayed 3 days). Overall room was stained and dirty (tub, tile, walls, etc). Bed was terribly uncomfortable and pillows were thin and cheap.

The staff was very professional and kind. They were normal kind humans. Greeting us. Looking us in our eyes to talk. Accommodating my mom so she can stay near our room. Also the bed and pillows were so comfortable.
The place can be cleaned a bit more, but it was a nice property. It’s 22 acres so you have places to walk. Also my teenagers were able to move around the property and play ping pong and sit by the pool and talk. Also when we came back from the event we were checked out and we were aloud to stay on the property until 5pm to wait for the plane departure. They have water available for us and everyone was so nice.

I have stayed at this resort many times before & always enjoyed my stays however this time the experience was not as enjoyable & frankly very disappointing.
Renovations going on at this hotel and really did impede on the pleasure of the stay. Windows in reception area completely blacked out.
So you could not see the daylight when sitting in the coffee area.
Outside patio unusable because of construction which was ongoing.
Normally there is seating where you can eat breakfast and enjoy an outdoor fire pit.
Prices of resort should have reflected this in convenience to the customer. Very disappointing as I am a Hilton honors member. Definitely not up to their standard.

The room was incredible. Both pool area’s were gorgeous, I loved sitting next to the waterfalls. The set up of the whole property makes it feel like a secluded Oasis hidden in the desert, very little street noises or exposure to the world outside.
The vent in our bathroom did not work properly because it was filthy. The poolside bar was closed both Friday and Saturday afternoon and night, having to walk to the bar inside and awkwardly waiting for my drink in my bathing suit kinda ripped me out of the whole resort vibe.

I liked how big it was and the amenities available
The bathrooms were outdated and our toilet was LOUD when it was flushed. If you used it at night you easily will wake up the whole room.
No towels at the pool although they are there by 7:30pm they were all used up and no one refilling.

The hotel was spacious for our family of 4 (16 and 19 year old children).
Good facilities in the hotel with bar, restaurant, Starbucks and shop.
We arrived late, greeted with cookies and water.
Was able to get food from the bar restaurant which was great.
Pool was lovely.
Shuttle bus which would drop you off / collect within 2 miles of the hotel up to 10pm was great.

Great location and hotel ambiance.
Hot water for shower took very long to start. Was luke warm for over ten minutes before becoming hot. Ice machines outside door gave very little ice before stopping.

Outside of the property was very nice, and the cookies were delicious.
My room was NOT clean, there were bugs in the rug and stains on the sheets as if they just made the bed with sheets from the previous guest SMH!
