Hotel Royal William, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Good hotel. Enjoyed our stay. Bit of a walk to everything. We didn't mind but there are some very steep hills to negotiate. We mastered the bus system after a day or two to get into the old town.

Lot of roadwork going on directly outside front of hotel. Not the fault of the hotel but it was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast could be improved. Need more monitoring of what is put out. The milk had gone off and hadn't been picked up by the staff.

we parked our car in the underground parking recommended by the hotel then left it there for the two days we stayed. We walked to old Québec through interesting side streets. A bus stop hub is one block away. This hotel is a "boutique" hotel at an affordable price. Rooms and hallways very spacious, wonderful art on the wall. Clean, comfortable, super location. It is not a tourist area; there are several university and research centres.

It is not worth the price charged for breakfast as right around the corner are 3 coffee shops. There are a large number of homeless during the day that hang out at 2 particular spots. You are never hassled.

Big room with high ceiling, super clean, smells refreshing, super comfortable mattress. Great coffee selection. Bathroom is fantastic with everything you need. Soft tissue and toilet paper. Lightning is cozy. Parking lot is close by and convenient. Surrounded by tons of restaurants and cafes. Staff are kind and helpful. Thanks for the welcoming drinks.

We were not aware of the breakfast and therefore did not use. We appreciated the time spent with the sales agent to learn how expensive joining the Hilton Vacation Club would be, even though we are silver members with Blue Green.

We could have had a room with more of a view then the bottom of cars in the parking lot. Our room was in the basement. As a result, the heating and air-condition units were high up with the controls at the top above our reach. We stayed cool in our room.
