Home from Home with a very sweet host . Thank you Karen for making our stay there extra special.

Upon arrival we were greeted very warmly . We were one of 3 couples staying New Years Eve. There are so many positive things to say about this charming B & B . It is very unique with a feel of being in Britain with its Victorian decor. It was spotless , cozy & warm. The beds were super comfortable & each room had everything you would need . The breakfast was spectacular . There was even a gathering place upstairs with a breakfast bar where you could eat your snacks & socialize with a drink . We would definitely return if we are up that way again. Central enough to get a short Uber ride into the city .

Amazing stay

There’s something special about this B&B that keeps us coming back. This was our second visit, and we’re already planning the next. The house is warm, inviting, and so peaceful. Karen’s breakfasts are outstanding, and she always checks in to make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of. She’s incredibly sweet and thoughtful. We honestly can’t say enough good things about this place.

Good location, consider other options

The owner was friendly and there were a lot of snacks and beverages available throughout the stay.

The place needs some additional cleaning. There was a fair amount of dust in the room I stayed in. The walls are very thin making it very challenging to get sleep if you are a light sleeper. The owner should consider investing in additional towels and washcloths based on the needs of a variety of guests. It would be great to post the menu for the next day up so the guests can determine if they want to eat the breakfast.

Stay in a nicely appointed old house with an attentive hostess

In a quiet residential area, yet just a 20min walk to the falls. Karen was so accommodating, letting us go back in to get changed after our wet walk to the falls, even though we’d checked out. She had water, coffee, snacks for us throughout our stay, which was great, and the room was very comfortable.

Wonderful will do it again

It was a fun quirky charming place. Full of kitsch but very very clean , Karen our host was wonderful , friendly and informative she wanted us to feel at home and enjoy our stay. The amenities were excellent given the age of the home and well cared for. It was our very first time at a B&B …but what a great experience we will definitely do this again when we travel.

Wonderful stay in quiet Niagara Falls area close to train station

We stayed here because of the proximity to the train station for us to make a day trip to Toronto while visiting Niagara Falls. We had a great stay. We had to leave before the breakfast time so we were bummed to miss out on that, but Karen was so kind to put together a bag of breakfast items for us to take on the road. She also graciously kept our suitcases for the day while we toured Toronto. The place is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle around the falls, yet close enough to enjoy your time in the area.

We loved our stay, just wish the pillows were a little softer.

Very Special getaway for all occasions

Karen the Hostess is a wonderful Hostess, She was there for every need that came up, she provided bikes with a lock so your experience was more enjoyable. Breakfast was ready when you were, always Hot & if you walked away hungry that would be on you.. I can't say enough about how we were treated while are were there... Very close to everything, try the City Pass to save money on things to do...

I had the time of my life.

I loved the coziness and warmth of the place. It felt like travelling back in time but with the comfort of modern life. The wooden works, the scent, the little portraits and mirrors, it felt like home. The food, oh the food, breakfast was a moment to look forward to. Special mention to Karen for her quiet but very efficient demeanour. She was both a friend and host for us.

It was a lovely bed and breakfast located close to many attractions. The breakfast was amazing. The hosts hooked up a T.V for us that had Netflix. We let them know it wasn’t necessary but they did it anyway. Very kind and attentive. The spa tub was awesome!!

Charming, authentic stay

We had an amazing stay at Blue Gables! The house is charming, beautifully authentic, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Late check-in was no problem at all, and she even prepared a breakfast package for us since we had to leave early in the morning. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is very convenient and offers a much more personal and comfortable experience than staying in one of the larger hotels. We would highly recommend Blue Gables to anyone visiting the area!

Suburb attention to detail and service. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in (and we travel a lot!) Great communication with our hostess. Breakfast was delicious and the presentation superb. Allergies accommodated. Coffee, tea, fruit, chocolate and cookies provided as snacks. There is a fridge & microwave for guests to use. Mugs and wine glasses available for guest use. Short drive to local attractions.

The only (very small) issue: There was a lovely little freestanding electric fireplace in our room - but it has a recurring squeak when turned on.

Beautiful Vintage House

This was such a vintage quaint house located not too far from the falls. There were so many beautiful paintings and art pieces. A lot to take in. Our host was a lovely lady who was so quick to respond to any messages or queries. We were served a delicious breakfast at our preferred time and she also let us check out later than the actual check out time. Overall, it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay.
