Breakfast was very disappointing.
Buffet food , eggs cold, , food prepared by cook 4-5am, we ate 9am.
Fruit hard and unflavoured, were not ripened.
I ordered my eggs from the kitchen , easy over. They came overdone, toast arrived several minutes later. Next morning same.
Jam packs on the tables are touched by those before us, kids touching them, coughing over them(proprioter learned nothing from covid!!)
As above.

nothing

Close to downtown
Parking area was not clean.
Corridors are dull and many rooms had food trays waiting to be collected.
Breakfast has pork sausage and bacon kept with other items. Anyone allergic to pork has 2X options gone as the customers were using the same serving spoon for pork and other items kept together.
Door bearings have accumulated junk.
Room has no microwave?

Check in and check out was very easy.
Have had good experiences mostly at the restaurant. Although my husband had breakfast there this morning at the buffet and it was luke warm. Also the price of a coffee - $4.50 really?
I didn't like that the toilet clogged up. The positive part was someone came very quickly to get it cleared.
Did not like that the hall alarm went off at 4:00 a.m. Had to walk down 14 flights of stairs. My husband has issues walking so this was a bit awkward. Did not really hear what the issue was but apparently there was no fire. Thankfully we were able to go back up on the elevator.
I was told there was a "medical discount" yet when I checked the price online (with IHG), the price was lower. When I mentioned this directly to the hotel they did not offer to match or lower the price.

Quick check in.
Nice restaurant with wonderful staff.
My only thing is maybe one or two hot items in the buffet. Like another vegetarian option or gluten free options.

Comfortable, as expected standard Holiday Inn rooms and facilities. Well maintained. Plenty of local places to go out to and close to the metro station. Restaurant is over priced and under whelming - but no shortage of alternatives.
Early morning fire alarm and walking down 16 floors - lack of staff presence and instruction during this.

Location to VGH and all Doctors offices. I was in Vancouver to meet up with my daughter who had a specialist appointment.
My only disappointment….and this applies to most hotels in Canada…is, regardless of the fact that there is a fridge in the room…the only “stuff” offered for my morning coffee is the disgustingly white powder…coffee whitener.
Why is it that hotels in Canada (and n.America in general) cannot get with the programme and provide “real dairy” product.
Such as, UHT milk in small containers. They have a long shelf life…and are real. If I am staying at a hotel for 2 nights or more..I buy a small milk from the store…but for a one night stay…not.

The location was ideal to VGH where my daughter had surgery, with plenty of options for coffee for the walk there then takeout meals on the walk back. The in-house restaurant offered a fabulous, great-value for money, buffet breakfast!

The location. Nice service.
Disappointed that there were only paper cups in the room. A cup of tea bag tea in a paper cup doesn’t cut it for an expensive hotel. Also very noisy cooling system for the room.

Location was convenient, close to skytrain station and lovely cafes and restaurants. The room was comfortable and quiet.
The price/night was high considering this is a basic hotel. No bottled water or adequate toiletries for our stay were provided.

The location is really very good. Bus station right in front of the building.
The pool was nice too, I went for morning swims and there were no people.
The furniture, carpets, colors are out dated, although well maintained and the room and bathroom very clean. But the overall look is old-fashioned. Modern furniture and bright colors would be worth to invest in.

Breakfast was fine- nothing special. Service was friendly and helpful
The room is waaaaaaay over priced for what you get. Smells in the corridor. Kinda dingy

It was close to transit and had everything I needed. Would come back again if I were to come back out west.
Didn't have any major concerns with my stay.

Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and the hotel was close to many restaurants, bus stop and train station.
No complaints hotel wise. The noise outside of the hotel was a little much at times though. Very minor.

Clean and good security
Tiny throw away coffee cups and small thin plastic cups in room. For the room rate that seems cheap.
4.0 / 10.0
Service was great. Anything I asked for, I got right away, with smiles from the housekeeping staff
Room felt Dirty, like the carpet needed a deep clean. No access to bottled water unless you paid 3 dollars per. Air conditioner smelt horrible
Possible mould issue. I had a massive allergic reaction to something in the room

I've stayed here several times, because it's a good tradeoff of cost versus convenience when I am working in the downtown core (the downtown hotels are always terribly expensive). It's convenient walk to the skytrain, so stay here, by a compass card, and get downtown that way. There's a nearby grocery (ok, Wholefoods so still expensive, but at least it's there) and lots of good restaurants on Broadway.

Everything was great: the location, comfort, breakfast, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The view from the upper floors is beautiful! You can ask for more blankets if you think it might be cold at night, but I was very warm and comfortable.
It was a bit noisy at night; I kept waking up every 20 minutes due to a sound that seemed to come from an electrical generator or something similar. I couldn’t sleep and went downstairs in the middle of the night. The receptionist was very willing to help and offered me a different room on the 8th or 6th floor. We checked it, but the same noise was present there as well. I cannot wear earplugs for health reasons, but I had to use them as an exception. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. The built-in shower is quite unusual and, frankly, inconvenient for Europeans, but it’s a small issue and not the hotel’s fault :)

The location was convenient and check in and house keeping staff were friendly and helpful. The room service food was very nice.
This hotel is really dated and actually a bit gross, the carpet just felt like it had years of built up dirt and grime and it is all in desperate need of an update and considering the cost of the room it was extremely expensive for such an outdated and grotty building. I definitely would not stay here again.

Room was available when I checked in early in the morning....good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is just three blocks from a Canada Line station. There are some quiet green areas near Heather and 10th Ave where one could sit, have lunch, or relax. There are shops, restaurants, coffee houses, on Broadway close to the hotel.
Not the hotel, but Bookings....I thought I included a breakfast when I got the room. It was not. The breakfast selection at the Embassy Inn in Victoria BC was better. While Broadway is straight and flat, the streets that intersect it go up and down. Be prepared to walk if you go off Broadway. The Vancouver City Hall was under construction as well as many other parts of Broadway.
7.0 / 10.0
I definitely like the location; it was perfect for my purposes.
The staff were all excellent and friendly from front desk to bar/restaurant to housekeeping.
I only had breakfast one morning but the eggs and bacon were cooked as I requested.
The view over the city and harbour is very nice, good sunset watching.
I did leave my observations with the Front Desk when I checked out, and they were only relevant to my room (1427).
One light bulb was burned out (the side of the bed I use so reading was not the best), the shower curtain inner lining would not clip onto the outer lining and this allowed water to run out onto the floor (all tile, I know, but still water outside the tub is not great).
The battery in the climate control box on the wall was showing low power/time to change icon. It still worked for my stay but the next guest might find they have to call Maintenance for a new battery. Hardy life threatening, I know. It's just an inconvenience.
The TV in my room was pixilating a lot so that I was unable to watch a few shows and the guide for TV offerings was not functioning properly. I know I could have called the Front Desk for Maintenance, but I decided not to do that I just dealt with the TV as it was.
My suggestion: when Housekeeping is in the room could they turn on the lights to check that all bulbs are working? Maybe check the shower curtains while cleaning the bathroom? These checks would take minutes and Maintenance could make the changes while the room is vacant.
