We spent one night at the Fairmont for a weekend getaway in Montreal, and our only regret is we didn't stay for a full week. The Signature Gold King room we enjoyed, ***, was gorgeous and perfectly appointed on the 20th floor, with a delightful view of the city. The staff was standout, warmly going above and beyond for anything needed- bagel recommendations, extra slippers, directions. Breakfast and treats in the Gold Lounge were wonderful, although complimentary or discounted alcoholic beverages would be appreciated in the future. The bed, bathtub, and toiletries (hello Le Labo!) were incredible, and the shower, with all its heads, is something I'm still dreaming about. Self parking is behind the hotel, in a separate building a few minutes' walk away, at a reasonable overnight rate. I would return to the Fairmont in a heartbeat. It's the best room, service, and overall stay I've experience in quite a while.

We love staying at Fairmont within Canada and internationally but were very disappointed by our current stay. The housekeeping was terrible. There was dust in room after cleaning., I have severe dust allergies so that was quite uncomfortable. The complimentary water bottle was not placed most of the days , drinking glasses were missing couple of days post cleaning. The bathroom lotion bottle was empty and was not checked if refill required. We had to call each day post house cleaning to get these things fixed or replenished. Also used the spa and facial was very average. The aesthetician never asked about skin type and if any concerns, just started applying products, no mention of the process and different steps of using the products. Not the usual Fairmont spa experience. There were couple of conferences going during our stay so staff seemed to be always rushing however not a reason to not provide same level of service for all guests. We stayed at Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City right before our stay in Montreal and there was a day and night difference in service provided. We also ate at Roselys and there was some issue with kitchen that evening , service was very slow. Our truffle fries order was mixed and wrong fries were sent to table. We didn’t complain and let it go but was overcharged when final bill was settled at checkout. The reception was apologetic and did reverse the extra charge but it was by far the worse Fairmont experience we have had.
