It was pleasant enough although a little noisy owing to passing traffic from early morning.

It was self-catering. Location was beside a busy road.

It was fairly basic. We were unaware of the exact location in advance hence found it noisy because of the busy road right outside. Whilst excellent facilities, it was daunting to find the bathroom at ground level with bedrooms upstairs ... a problem for older folk in the middle of the night. Low lighting overnight would have been helpful.

Such a great place to stay

We had the loveliest time staying at the cottage and cannot wait to return one day. The location was excellent, very quiet but not too far from anything that you would need. Great walks nearby and the beaches are just stunning. Cannot thank the host enough for all of their thought and kindness during our stay. It really was excellent and we hope to return in not to long for another stay at this gorgeous little cottage!

only negative was that the host remotely controls the heating and the heating wasn't on one evening when it was cold and damp.

Fantastic stay

The property was small and cozy with a real homely feel to it. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. Recently stayed places that had one oven shelf with one tray and no frying pans!! This place has it ALL!! 10/10 and will hope to be back again in future.

Kintyre was beautiful but the cottage didn't not live up to our expectation and over priced

The shower was very good but the shower head needed descaling. WiFi was very good too. Lots of toilet rolls. Lots of cleaning products but pity the cottage wasn't spotless.

The outside area was very disappointing. This is a small gravelled yard and was unkept. This is where you park your car and difficult to drive in and out of. The kitchen seriously needs updating with doors of cupboards either hanging off, not shutting properly, chipped and the work surfaces cluttered. The cooker was very rusty. The hob was so rusty it took 15 minutes to heat some baked beans. The cutlry and crockery would not be enough if 6 people stayed at the cottage and all ate at the same time. The cottage was much more cluttered than on the pictures and given coronavirus no soft furnishings were removed and some weren't clean such as the table runner that had food on it and the sofa throw had long hairs on it. There was a silk flower display on the floor next to the toilet. Not very hygienic. There was no where to sit and put your make up on in the bedroom. All the surfaces had decorative stuff on all surfaces so no room for a mirror or to put your make up bag or toiletries. The large mirrors on the back of the bedroom doors kept falling down. The cottage was cleaned but not to a good standard. Given the situation at the moment with coronavirus I would have expected it to be spotless. The stair carpet obviously had not been vacuumed properly. The cottage is lower than the road that runs close to the front of the property. When vehicle's go past the cottage, there wheels are half way up the living room windows which isn't very good with farm vehicle's going past you feel the vibrations. This also scared our dogs. One of the blinds in the red bedroom doesn't work properly. Would suggest that it says on website there is no welcome pack so people know to bring milk if the want a hot drink on arrival. We have always had welcome packs in all the self catering properties we have stayed at, so we're caught out when we arrived to no milk.
