In the heart of Normandy landing beaches, authentic Port en Bessin small artisanal fishing port and Calvados boating, famous for its scallops located 10 minutes from Arromanches and its artificial port, 10 minutes from Omaha Beach, 10 minutes from Bayeux, 30 minutes from Caen, 1h30 from Mont Saint Michel and 3h00 from Paris.

Apartment in Port en Bessin completely renovated with high-end services, sea and tidal views at the foot of our building, directly on the seafront and on the outer harbor.
At low tide, you can stroll on the sand on the small beach in front of the building and then you can go and buy your fresh fish and shellfish at the fish market which is two minutes away.
Market every Sunday all year round and also Friday evening in season.
July and August (from July 20, 2018) big fireworks every Friday
A stone's throw from the fishing port, on the second floor of an old fisherman's building, we offer you a charming apartment of around 65m² with high-end comfort and a sensational view of the sea with its three large windows in the living room and the kitchen.
Living room including a large kitchen with dining area for 4 people, the kitchen with very complete equipment (pyrolysis oven, Nespesso coffee machine, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, washer-dryer, induction hob etc ... ) it's like at home !!! and in addition you will enjoy the sea view.
The living room is very pleasant with its cozy sofa where you can enjoy the comings and goings of the boats, a side table with two armchairs that we have installed in front of the largest window so that you can make the most of this splendid panorama.

Excellent location and the view in the morning was perfect to sit by the window and watch the boats pass by. Communication with owner was perfect. Apartment was very clean and very well equipped. Location for the Normandy museums etc. was central. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful stay for us. We found our host to be very kind, thoughtful, and amenable. There was a welcome bottle of Calvados Apple Cider upon our arrival. Their apples are famous! The apartment has the most gorgeous windows that let in the amazing bird and ocean sounds and breeze. A note for renters if you happen to come in after dark, there is a light switch on the left wall when you first enter the building that will light the staircase as there is no elevator. The stairs are narrow and steep so I imagine it might be a difficult climb for the elderly, very young children, or anyone with a heavy suitcase. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here as well as the quaint neighborhood. Though convenient for us, the location is a little out of range, so if taking an Uber you may want to book it early. We had a car and always found a parking spot. The walls are quite thin so expect to hear the upstairs or downstairs neighbors. We would have appreciated it if the bathroom door had completely closed. But, overall it is a very beautiful place and the ocean made it so wonderfully memorable. It looks just like the pictures! Our host was very pleasant and accommodating. We were glad to have stayed here. Thank you for hosting us :)

Thank you Geraldine for a fantastic stay at your apartment in Port en Bessin. The apartment is clean, welcoming and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Geraldine is super helpful and easy to contact, it’s very clear that she wants you to enjoy your stay and has thought of everything you need. The location is superb for exploring the Normandy coast and Bayeux etc, Honfleur is about an hour away and definitely worth a visit. Arronmanche is about 15 minutes drive away and is such a pretty seaside town with an interesting history. Port en Bessin itself is a lively little harbour town with plenty of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and a supermarket. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Geraldine, it was so lovely to meet you.

We absolutely loved every single aspect of this VRBO. The location was right on the water, walkable to many local restaurants and shops, easy parking, short trip to Bayeux for the start of D-Day tours. Plus the apartment was immaculately clean, stocked with everything (shampoo, body wash, washer/dryer, laundry detergent, dishwasher, etc.) imaginable. The beds were very comfortable! The view was amazing! The owner was quick to respond and we enjoyed meeting her on her arrival. Truly the best place!! Very highly recommended!!

My parents and I loved the apartment! It was immaculately clean. With the windows open, we could hear the waves of the English Channel. Many excellent restaurants are within a few blocks’ walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Normandy!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Geraldine greeted us upon check in, showed us the house and places to see. She even booked us a dinner at a local restaurant our first evening, which was amazing given our long day of travel. The village is walkable…with markets, shops, restaurants and sea front only a few minutes walk away. The location is great for all the Normandy sites. We look forward to returning soon.

Look no further, this is the perfect accommodation and Geraldine is a great host. We stayed in the second floor unit and we loved our time there. She has thought of absolutely everything and the apartment is amazing. Just a few of our observations: Assorted cords for plugging in all devices She left a bottle of wine, sparkling cider and a box of chocolates There were many types of tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc She provided lovely toiletries Very high end appliances Beautiful dishes and glassware Bed was very comfortable Her taste and style are wonderful The unit has a chef’s kitchen All the cookware you would ever want She meet us at our arrival and came to say goodbye at our departure She was incredibly responsive and so helpful with travel advice and restaurant recommendations She is a national treasure Fantastic full water view We are both master athletes and loved the stairs She got us a special map that favored our request for running routes in the area Parking was easy and convenient Book well in advance so you don’t miss out on staying in one of her units We are already looking at our calendar to see when we can return. This apartment is very nice and very well located. Geraldine was a lovely host and very helpful with any of our questions. We rent many vacation rentals and Geraldine has above and beyond with everything to make your stay comfortable. There are so many little extras that are not listed that make your stay so much better (Large mirrors, good hairdryers, a bag to take to the supermarket, coffee and tea, almost every kitchen utensil, etc etc). One of the most thoughtful places we have stayed, we will recommend to anybody and we will be staying again ourselves. Thank you :)

Apartment was fabulous, beautifully clean and amazingly equipped, there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of, I would highly recommend a stay here if you are fit and healthy, however the staircase leading to the apartment was a massive issue for us, we had my parents with us, my mum is 82 and struggled daily with the very narrow tight, steep winding staircase which has no handrails and 32 steps , the apartment is in a beautiful old building so we appreciate there is nothing that can be done to improve the access but it would put us off staying again, the description does say it’s on the second floor but there are no pictures or description of how bad the stairs are!… however this would not put me off recommending it to others that are super fit

We took a chance based on the photos to stay here instead of Bayeux while visiting Normandy. It paid off. Geraldine is wonderful and explained all the nuances of the unit. The unit was very clean and exactly as described. We had a ball and loved the little historic town. I would come back again and again.

Very clean and well equipped- has everything you need. Great central location for seeing Normandy D- Day beaches, Mont Saint Michelle, Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur and Cliffs of Etretat. Bernadette went out of her way to make sure you felt at home and gave us great restaurant suggestions. Only drawback was stairs to 2nd flloor are spiral and narrow so would take that into consideration If booking and have difficulty with stairs, especially with luggage.

Lovely flat in central Normandy. Easy to to get to all the sites. The place was very clean and well decorated. Your view is direct harbor/waterfront. Plenty of on street parking. We were able to walk to shops/groceries/restaurants in the port area. Our host checked us in and was available if needed. We had a lovely time here. I hate to even mention cons but there were a couple. There are 2 narrow set of stairs to get to the apartment. Was not an issue for us but could be for some. Also be warned there is no insulation between rooms and/or floors. I dontv think much can be done about this as it has to do with the walls. I could hear my daughter roll over in her bed at night. Also could hear upstairs waking at 5 am. Wasn't a huge issue cause the area is very quiet.

Booking was straightforward, and immediately prompted an e mail from Geraldine, the property owner, who sent us a warm message along with a wealth of information to aid the planning of our trip. We were taking our grandson on a tour of the D Day beaches, and the apartment could not be better situated for this, being right in the middle of the 5, nestled between Omaha and Gold. The apartment is beautiful, with an amazing view of the sea. It is right on the harbour entrance, in the lovely little village of Port en Besson. Everything you could wish for is in the apartment, it is very well cared for, Geraldine has set it up beautifully and you can park right outside the door. She greeted us when we arrived and gave lots of good advice about visits, parking and restaurants, and also waved us off when we left. Excellent service. The only word of caution we would offer is that anyone with mobility issues may struggle with the steep, narrow stairs to the apartment, otherwise a perfect 10/10 from us!

We loved it! Geraldine, the property manager, was fabulous. Very professional, welcoming and knowledgeable. This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. We enjoyed watching the boats go out each morning and the quaint village atmosphere. The locals made us feel very welcome. We will be coming back to Normandy for a longer stay and will be reserving this fabulous apartment! We are very glad that we selected this location versus a hotel in Bayeux.

We just had a lovely 5 day stay in Geraldine’s apartment. It is immaculate, beautiful, professionally decorated, with an incredible harbor view! She is a wonderful hostess! She left coffee, tea and all the trimmings for us. The stairs were a little daunting, so pack light, but overall, it was amazing! We hope to come back soon! We highly recommend staying here! The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The view from the windows are amazing, and we enjoyed watching the boats going in and out of the harbour. The fish market nearby was a big bonus and we frequented it most days. Port- en- Bessin is truly a great location for visiting the D-Day beaches or just relaxing in the many good restaurants and bars. Geraldine is an extremely good hostess that cares for her guests. The apartment is an easy and short drive to all the D-Day beaches and also walking distance to many great restaurants in Port-en-Bessin. We stayed at Geraldine’s apartment for three days and could not have asked for a more pleasant and comfortable stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and located in a perfect spot, on a quiet street right on the water, just around the corner from the pier. You are steps away from the restaurants and the lively fish market, but don’t get any of the noise on the pier. The beds were super comfortable, towels plush and plentiful, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Geraldine is a very kind and thoughtful host who shows a lot of care for her guests and an enviable attention to details that make her place a standout. This was one of our best apartment rentals ever and we would love to come back. Many thanks to Geraldine for the awesome stay!

Great apartment and great host! The location in Port en Bessin is wonderful for exploring Normandy. You are right in the middle of the D Day beaches and the Mont St. Michel is only 1 1/2 hours drive. Port en Bessin is a quaint sea side town with lots of charm. Geraldine is a wonderful host. She is friendly and very helpful both prior to and during your stay. The apartment is well appointed, very quiet and has a great view overlooking the water.

We spent 12 nights in Geraldine's wonderful apartment with an incredible view of the port, colorful parade of boats, the endless sea. Her apartment is superb -- all magazine-worthy -- so very easy to spend lots of time inside looking out. Port-en-Bessin is in a great location for the D-Day sites and touring Bayeux and Caen. The #70 bus goes back and forth several times daily to Bayeux and the American Cemetery. We would be delighted to return to this area and stay in Geraldine's gorgeous apartment again. Wish we could give six stars! Highly recommend!
