About this house rental
Welcome to 'Refuge Portais': Lovely detached house with sea view, all modern conveniences, and garden for 4 people. The house is located in the heights of a small Normandy fishing harbour in Port-en-Bessin. It has a dominating view over the sea and a peaceful location close to fields, at the foot of 'La Vierge des Feux' and a 36-hole golf course in Port-en-Bessin.
In the heart of the landing beaches, the house has quick and easy access to Omaha Beach and the American cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer, just 10 km from Arromanches and Bayeux.
All shops, fish market with direct sales from fishermen, beach at low tide, quays and boats 250 metres away.
'Le Refuge Portais' is preferably rented for stays of 1 or 2 weeks. Flexible arrival day.
Pets are not allowed.

'Le Refuge Portais' has a 350 sq.m flowered garden with an electric gate and option of parking for 1 to 2 cars and a 70 sq.m house spread out over 2 levels.
On the ground floor:
-Separate fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave...)
-Living room with couch and 2 armchairs (view of sea and garden), flat-screen TV, DVD player
-Dining room opening onto the terrace
-Spacious bedroom for 2 people (160x200 cm bed) and a large wardrobe, opening onto the terrace
-2 small Bathrooms (shower, wash basin)
-WC and sink
-Laundry room (washing/drying machine) and cupboards
-South-facing terrace with garden furniture (4 chairs, 1 table)
On the 1st floor with sloping ceilings:
-Landing with office area (roof window overlooking sea) and play area for children
-Bedroom with 2 single beds, separated by a partition (view of sea and village)
-Many storage cupboards
-WC and sink
Fixtures:
-Kitchen: dishwasher, gas/electric hobs, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, oven, food processors, coffee maker, kettle, lovely dishware, seafood cookware,
flat-screen TV, home cinema, unlimited Wi-Fi (as of August 2013)
-Laundry equipment : washer-dryer, Tancarville, iron and an ironing board
-Electric gate
-Charcoal barbecue (charcoal not provided)
-New patio doors and double glazed windows on the ground floor, electric and wooden shutters, electric heaters
-Baby kit (cot and high chair) provided upon request at time of booking
-New furniture and bedding
'Le Refuge Portais' is located at the top of the lighthouse road (steep road), next to the 'Maison des Feux', also known as 'Vierge des Feux'. The rental property has a beautiful dominating location in Port-en-Bessin with stunning views of the sea (from areas in the house and garden), the outer harbour, the horizon and the Port-en-Bessin coastline. The fields and the golf course are very close by. Tranquillity, fresh sea air and countryside!
