About this cottage rental
Downstairs is open-plan: a fully equipped, inspiring kitchen, a dining area, and a cob-built living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The earthy textures and natural materials create a warm, grounded atmosphere, while modern finishes ensure ease and functionality.
Upstairs, a spacious bedroom and a desk for writing or light remote work. The outdoor deck is wonderful for greeting the morning sun with a stretch, or indulging in stargazing on warm summer nights.
The bathroom has a shower and an indoor bidet-style rinse toilet, complemented by a beautifully renovated outdoor eco-composting toilet.
We are proud of living off-grid, but off-grid with comfort — nothing here asks you to rough it. Walk our permaculture, biodynamic garden any time; we love talking about how our systems work.
Guests also have access to walking paths on the farm and can enjoy the surrounding natural environment throughout their stay.
Bramon and Newstead are minutes down the road for MCC and long lunches. Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, the Elephant Sanctuary and Tenikwa are closer still. The Salt River Trail and Nature’s Valley lie a short drive east; Robberg and Plett’s beaches about twenty minutes the other way. If you hiking like we do, you’ll be spoiled.
