58 m2 Apt - RER B - 10 min to Central Paris

We booked this apartment on short notice after having our other booking.com accommodation cancelled on us a week before due to arrive. It had not had any reviews yet as it had only just started being rented out but we thought we would give it a go. As it turned out it was just satisfactory but I had lots of contact with the owners and they were very helpful. They supplied coffee pods and tea but there was no sugar or milk so they had some delivered the next day. I gave them lots of advice on how to make the place more homely and they seemed keen to hear it and hopefully they have taken on the advice. The apartment was in a quiet, secure gated, fenced off building with a code to get in the main doors and a short walk to the RER B train station that takes you into Paris, right near Notre Dame and to CDG airport. It is located near a bakery and numerous restaurants nearby. There was a washing machine with detergents supplied.

The bed was too hard, the pillows too soft and lumpy, there was no quilt on the bed just a quilt cover so we had to search for a quilt but what they had was too small and didn't cover the bed entirely. The bedroom was bare with no pictures, bedside tables, lamps or curtains giving the room a harsh feel. There were no curtains throughout the apartment but all windows did have outside shutters. The lighting in the kitchen was insufficient. The shower was over the deep bathtub which was a bit slippery and needed a non slip mat in the tub and a wall handle to hold to get out of the tub after showering. It shows a great deal of promise and hopefully after taking some of the advice I gave them and with bit more time and thought it can be turned into the comfortable homely stay that people are looking for.
