About this house rental
The area is known for beautiful beaches, dreamy sunsets and a unique, walkable neighborhood. Dining & bar within 1 block. Grocery Store, Bars, Salon, Acupuncture, shops, etc within 3 blocks. Walk to La Jolla cove, downtown LJ, Bird Rock
Enjoy an antique cottage-style home with private deck in a quiet neighborhood.
The main bedroom has a queen bed, drawers, a closet, a window, access to the bathroom, ceiling fan. A window air conditioner is available for those warm Summer days. There's not another bathroom entrance.
The guest room has a tall, full-size bed and a large window to let in light and breeze.
Villa Serena's living room has two "Hartley daybeds" that can be made into a queen-size bed for 2. These may be replaced by a single, queen sofa-bed.
This home offers an outdoor table on the private deck.
It's most comfortable for up to 4 guests. With approval, we allow an extra guest or two for brief, last-minute stays.
If you have more than 3 adults, consider renting two or more of our side-by-side cottages.
Powerful, gas wall heater centrally located in the dining room.
Parking: there is street parking only. No driveway. The designated parking for this property is street parking next to property.

Pet rent is $25/night/pet for most pets, with a minimum of $50 per stay for shedding dogs
We cannot accept animals with a history of aggression or the following: wild canines, Akitas, Cane Corsos, Chow Chows, Dogo Argentinos, Pit Bulls (includes all bully types informally labeled as a type of "Pit Bull"), Presa Canario, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, or mixes/hybrids containing these. We have owned and loved some of the breeds on this list, so it isn't personal- we want to keep our insurance coverage.

Other hosts use pest-control products that harm pets and wildlife. In order to protect our guests , we focus on cleanliness rather than dousing homes in chemicals that harm pets and children. We implement safer pest control methods which can take longer to work. By booking, you acknowledge that occasional visits from tiny locals and evidence of 4-legged guests is part of the experience and not grounds for complaints/refunds.
Big group? Book up to four of our adjacent cottages for up to 21 guests!
Provided beach gear include chairs, towels, and boogie board(s). If desired, snorkel gear may be be rented at nearby shops.
To start your stay, you'll receive a free 2-day supply of essentials like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Safety first! All renters are subject to screening & must provide a selfie with their driver's license to the host or host-specified screening platform prior to check in.
Please do not use instant book for stays of 4 weeks or more- tenant screening, landlord-approval, and lease signing are required.
Minimum age to book any reservation is 25 and the booker must be present. Guests under age 21 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Exceptions may be made on a case-by case basis.
