Enjoy great home amenities in an upscale environment after a luxurious day on the beach at this absolutely stunning La Jolla home for six. This gated home is just one block from the heart of La Jolla Village, giving the family easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and two blocks from Windansea Beach. Take a stroll five blocks down to Marine Street Beach, or head south to the world-famous Windansea Beach. Gather the group in the comfortable living room to watch a movie or show on the flat screen cable TV, or play games while seating on the overstuffed leather sofas. The entryway has a gorgeous organ and armchair, perfect for a quiet afternoon spent lost in your current novel. Warm neutrals, granite countertops, and top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances make the full kitchen a chef's dream. Whip up delicious home-cooked meals using the in-wall oven and six-burner gas stove-top. Other additions include a spacious corner pantry, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, and toaster. Stay indoors to eat at the round dining table that can fit up to six guests (with the extra leaf), or take your plate outside to the back patio, which also has a gas grill for more meal variety. There is a 1/2 bathroom downstairs. All the bedrooms are upstairs the main bedroom has a king-size bed, cozy sun room, and large attached bathroom. The house was in a great area of La Jolla. Check in and check out were easy and the house was clean. The only issue was the interior carpet, the furniture and the blinds really need updating. You could tell it was cleaned well, but it still felt dirty because the carpet was old and stained and the chair and couch in the family room were really old. The blinds were hard to work.

Great location and has potential to be much better, but as others noted it is not as well maintained as it could be with lots of cheaper furniture and accessories (coffee table seemed like it might fall over). Also, our first night one bed frame broke (cheap particle board) and in the morning I made coffee and the coffee machine was broken, and it leaked all over the counter and floor before I saw it. Tough start to the weekend trip, but I will say the property management team was friendly and very helpful, they got us a new coffee machine and fixed the bedframe the same day (Saturday). Sadly, no offer to reduce the rate after all of that. If you don't expect too much, it is in a great location, was stocked with what is needed, good parking, and does the job.
