Excellent accommodation overall! It's very well located (even closer to the station than it might seem on the map), with plenty of good cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby. The space is very comfortable (both rooms are quite large and the sofa is very comfortable, so I'm sure you could fit more people in, the living room is also spacious, and it has two fully functioning bathrooms) and nicely decorated, with all the amenities necessary (more plates and cutlery than just one item of each per guest, which is very useful if you're mostly eating in everyday). The heating was easy to turn on and off. No problems with the wifi. It was easy to find and get the keys. The neighbourhood is not noisy even though there are student halls nearby.
Excellent value for money and great stay; we will be booking this propery again in the future. Highly recommend!
Some things do need upkeep. They aren't a dealbreaker for me at all, but for some people they could be quite off-putting.
- A lot of the blinds systems are broken or inaccessible because they are so high up. Since the bedroom windows do overlook directly onto the streets, replacing the blinds
- One of the beds seemed wrinkly/unmade when we got there, with an old duvet that was uncomfortable because all the filling had clumped inside
- Some surfaces needed a better clean. I had to clean what looked like dried blood from one of the radiators (hopefully it wasn't?)
- The shower of the ensuite could use refreshing, the taps are hard to fully shut so there isn't leaking.
- The street door's lock was a bit stubborn and can be locked from the inside so it doesn't open from the outside; we had a few minor scares regarding this.
