Family trip for my mom’s birthday, which she really enjoyed. This place was just as beautiful as the pictures. It was cold outside so we stayed in, the downstairs are is where we hung out! There were 12 of us and the house was big enough to accommodate our group. We couldn’t get the TVs to work down stairs. I was unable to reach the host. The only other problem was the trash. I totally understand you can’t leave it out, we had big trash bags and dumped it heading back home. The overall trip was worth the money, and we would definitely visit again!

This home is a fortress! We arrived on Thursday the day hurricane helene was coming to Waynesville. We arrived, the house was clean and beautiful. Friday morning we woke up and both roadways down the mountain were washed out, the garage flooded from a support wall breaking due to water flooding down the mountain. We lost power around 10am Friday but the generator kicked on almost instantly which was great. We were able to conserve our power to only cooking. We hung out on the beautiful back porch. The home could use more shovels and supplies incase of an emergency. On Sunday we were forced to evacuate the home. We had to help build a road to get our vehicles off the mountain. The neighbors on the mountain are absolutely wonderful and we all worked together to get us off the mountain. Waiting to see if Vacasa is going to give us a refund for forcing us to leave. The home has comfortable beds, great amenities and a fabulous property.
