This late Edo-period inn is located in the heart of Wada-juku on the Nakasendo Trail. Renovated to closely capture the atmosphere of the Edo period while incorporating modern amenities, it has received high praise from guests both in Japan and abroad. There are five private rooms available for guests ranging from one to several people.

Three rooms offer views of the inner garden and seasonal flowers, one room “overlooking the Edo end of the Nakasendo,” and one room “overlooking the Kyoto end of the Nakasendo.” As a key stop for hikers crossing Wada Pass along the Nakasendo, we welcome you with these five uniquely charming rooms. With so many rooms available, we can also accommodate group rentals of the entire building for up to 24 people. This option is popular for university seminars, family gatherings, and corporate training sessions.
For group rentals, guests may use the kitchen, have barbecues in the courtyard, and enjoy handheld fireworks (fireworks that make loud noises or produce jets of fire are prohibited).

You can park about two cars in front of the inn if you park them close together. Please park any other cars at the “Wada-juku Honjin Parking Lot” or behind the fire station at the “Wada Branch Office Parking Lot.”

★This is an old building. Taller guests may bump their heads. Due to steps and steep staircases, please keep a close eye on elderly guests and young children at all times.
