Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya

We enjoyed our annex room with our own private Onsen bath. Everyone was very nice, helpful and spoke English. The meals were delicious.. We liked that the Eidaya was located away from the main part of Kusatsu. Highly recommend!

I love that the villa is so spacious and well equipped. The private onsen is superb too, very relaxing to soak in. Its not too small, so one can just immerse their entire body. The rooms are spacious and super quiet. So quiet that I had to play some white noise to sleep. The frontdesk was veeeeeeery polite and nice, compliments to them too!

The one thing that i really hated was the location. There is no way you'd be able to have a comfortable stay at the villa if you don't drive. It's around 20 minutes walk from the main Yubatake area, and there's almost no street lights leading to the villa. Because of this location issue, our trips were quite limited, we can't really split up with my friends to pursue our own schedule, and have to coordinate the transport via driving. Another feedback I would give is that there is only one shower in the whole villa, which is the onsen room. So if you have many people staying here, and you don't want to see each other naked, you'll have to wait a long time for everyone to finish showering.

The property was very clean and the food was delicious! The staff really goes the extra mile to make sure your questions are answered :) Also check out their vintage gaming consoles! This would be a great stay international or otherwise.

The male staff was really very helpful except for the lady staff when we left the rokyan.

The ONSEN which was too small but was really a private room type.
