Das Personal war sehr nett, das Essen reichlich und die Zimmer groß. Der Hotel eigene Onsen ebenso. Wir waren Sonntags und Montags da und es war quasi leer. Das war wahnsinnig entspannend, da wir den kompletten Onsen für uns allein hatten. Wer also etwas weniger Touristen antreffen möchte, etwas sparen sowie mehr Zeit hat, dem ist dieses Hotel zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist ohne eigenes Auto eher schwierig zu erreichen. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist mit einiges an Lauf- und Wartezeiten zu rechnen, allein schon um bis nach Nirasaki geschweige denn Kofu zu kommen. Wenn einem das bewusst ist, so wie uns, dann ist das aber i.O.. Es lässt sich aber mit Taxis nachhelfen. Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter und das merkt man hier und da. Leider sind uns auch diverse Tierchen über den Weg gelaufen. Von verschiedenen Insekten im Zimmer über Geckos und Schlangen am Onsen war alles dabei.

The staff was really friendly and welcoming, very Child friendly, too. We had a family authentic Japanese room with 4 futons on the tatami floor which was a great experience for us. (Children 4&6). We had a delicious and beautifully prepared dinner; the kids dinner was exceptional,too: from spaghetti to rice to fried shrimp to French fries - both of our kids were really happy. Our adult meal was very impressive and tasty and one of the best dinners I had in my life (saying this while having lived 5 years in Paris!!). Breakfast was great, too; authentic Japanese. All in all a great food experience :) I also went to the onsen in the evening and enjoyed the calm atmosphere - inside and outdoor onsens :) The hotel is old but clean and well maintained and it actually looks nicer in real life than in the photos they provide. A beautiful ryokan with very friendly and attentive staff. A stunning building featuring several works of art and a fantastic onsen.

The only thing to bear in mind is that the location isn’t very easy to reach by public transport, like many other places in the region
