My husband and I had the pleasure of staying overnight at Bastra Classy Hotel in a Junior Suite Balcony with City View before heading to Sapa, and it turned out to be one of the most thoughtful, well-cared-for stays we've experienced. From the very beginning since I booked it, the customer service set the tone for everything. Tom was in touch with us even before we arrived, checking in on what we'd need for our stay and arranging a smooth, seamless airport pick-up. That kind of care before we'd even stepped foot in the hotel already told us we were in good hands. He also worked around our schedule for an early check-in. Our room wasn't officially ready until 2 or 3pm, but by noon he'd already texted to let us know we could head straight to the hotel. Small gestures like that make such a big difference when you're traveling. He even offered to help arrange tours for us, and when we mentioned we'd already booked through Klook, he simply acknowledged it warmly with no pressure at all. Just genuine, gracious hospitality throughout. The location is also fantastic. Centrally located near Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, everything, top-rated restaurants, cafes, and sights, is within easy walking distance. What we especially loved is that despite being so central, the street the hotel sits on feels quieter and calmer than the surrounding area, giving us the best of both worlds: convenience and peace. Our room itself was spacious and comfortable, complete with a balcony and everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel clearly feels fairly new or recently renovated, and it shows in the best way, everything felt fresh, modern, and well-kept. A couple of small notes for future guests: the flooring has some uneven spots that aren't always easy to spot right away, so it's worth watching your step, though the staff kindly gave us a heads-up when walking us to our room. The bathroom also runs a bit on the cozy side, even for someone petite like me, but it was clean, modern, and stylish nonetheless. While the hotel doesn't have a pool or gym, it does have an in-house cafe/restaurant and offers free luggage storage, a nice touch for guests on the go. It's easy to see why this hotel is so highly rated on Google. It truly is a gem tucked into the heart of the Old Quarter, and between the warm service, prime location, and comfortable room, we left with wonderful memories.
