Kerrow Cottage on the doorstep of Glen Affric

Close to beautiful Glen Affric, cosy interior, comfy beds. Nice cafe bar close by in Cannich.

It’s a comfortable rental but it doesn’t have much highland character. As the listing says, it’s on a working farm. The farmer is friendly but expect dogs, vehicles, and abandoned machinery! A welcome pack with instructions would have been appreciated.

La comodidad de la casa, muy amplia y practica para 7 personas. La cocina tiene de todo, tambien lavadora y secadora, calefaccion en toda la casa, excelente.

Por decir algo, faltaba una bayeta en la cocina y algunos paños

The cottage is spacious and good value for money; there are 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. The location is remote (this is part of the charm) and allows you to get to the west coast in a couple of hours.

The cottage was not very clean (including the dishes), there was no WiFi and quite a few essentials were missing from the kitchen (no cloth to wipe the counters, no dishwasher tablets, no kitchen paper - quite inconvenient given that there was no shop nearby). The electricity went off whenever we used the toaster. Overall it was fine but we felt the owners were not taking care of the details or checking on the property as much as in other places we rented.
