Wilderness Bliss Yala

An incredible stay in a truly picturesque setting! We were lucky enough to receive a free upgrade to the Leopard Room, with a gorgeous view of the waterhole. The facilities were luxurious, especially the huge bathroom with a glass ceiling where you could see the stars while showering at night. The staff were the absolute highlight being both attentive and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. One of the best Sri Lankan meals I’ve had, finished with a brownie that was too good to miss even when completely full! They also organised our safari and transport to Ella, making everything super convenient. Our safari guide was amazing! We saw two leopards, including one that stared directly at us for a good 10 minutes! As a photographer with a real passion for wildlife, he made the experience even more special. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable experience!

It’s right inside the jungle and you can hear all the birds and animal sounds throughout the day. The chalets are built to make you feel like you’re staying in a village inside the jungle while the inside is very beautiful and luxurious.

We stayed one night at Wilderness Bliss and it was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, right next to Yala National Park, and we headed out on an evening safari straight from the hotel. The facilities were genuinely impressive. The property feels like it’s built right into the jungle, with lovely rooms, great showers, and beautiful communal outdoor spaces to relax in between activities. The food easily deserves its own mention. There were plenty of options across the menu, and everything was clearly freshly made, and you could really taste the difference. All three meals were superb, with a good variety in the à la carte selection and three courses served throughout. Not a single complaint on the food. What really made the stay though was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommend for families looking to experience Yala properly. We’d definitely come back.

Our stay at Yala Wilderness Bliss was nothing short of extraordinary. One of the most unforgettable moments was watching wild elephants wander right up to the fence, just a short distance away from us. As night fell, the calming sounds of the forest, the chirping of birds and the presence of other wildlife, created a serene atmosphere that made us feel deeply connected to nature. The chalets are thoughtfully designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment while offering modern comforts. We chose to stay in the treehouse, which was beautifully appointed, and equipped with everything we needed, including air conditioning, hot water and all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The natural rock formation extending toward the forest provided the perfect setting to capture breathtaking sunsets, enjoy panoramic views of the lake and the sea. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared according to our preferences, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special and memorable. The team arranged an incredible safari experience for us, giving us the privilege of witnessing the beauty of Sri Lanka’s wildlife. It was truly an unforgettable adventure. We left Wilderness Bliss with cherished memories and a strong desire to return. We recommend Yala Wilderness Bliss to anyone who appreciates nature, wildlife, and peaceful luxury.
