In the most scenic stretch of the entire Ortigia waterfront, in the heart of Syracuse’s historic center, stands Palazzo Gancia—a splendid early 17th-century palace spanning 750 square meters, featuring 4 apartments, ALL OF WHICH ARE INDEPENDENT OF ONE ANOTHER.
Each apartment offers a SIDE VIEW of the sea and the magnificent Castello Maniace, but ONLY guests have access to the historic/museum wing—currently undergoing renovation over approximately 700 square meters—which features wonderful Baroque balconies overlooking the sea, where you can sip a glass of wine or a coffee.
You can pull up right in front of the main entrance to unload your luggage and let your family members out.
A KEY FEATURE: the island’s ONLY public beaches and the only public sunbathing area are just 50 and 100 meters away.
For our guests, there is a 500-square-meter private courtyard where you can relax, have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and watch TV.
Each apartment includes: 1) a bedroom with a double bed + a single bed upon request; 2) a fully equipped kitchen with a sofa bed and a cot upon request, TV, refrigerator, oven, and coffee maker; 3) a bathroom.
Motorcycles can be parked inside the courtyard.
