Apartment Lucca Sui a Tetti

A very spacious and comfortable apartment, period furniture and in a very good central location. A warm welcome from Margherita who was helpful and accommodating as we arrived a little later than anticipated. The welcome pack and information provided was very useful, with many local tips, As a group of five friends we enjoyed staying here, rooms were large and the spacious kitchen area became our focal point. Two decent sized bathrooms met our needs well. Comfortable bedrooms and shutters made for peaceful night's rest. Generally a quiet location with limited noise from street level was a bonus. Overall, a spacious apartment, with a view of The Guinigi Tower from the kitchen made this a very comfortable stay that provided great value for money.

There is a substantial climb up stairs to the apartment, this may not suit young children or those with limited mobility.

Great location & host, not so great not being able to use the AC at night.

The apartment is very well located and makes it so easy to explore Lucca as well as to get to the train station to explore nearby towns. The host was very accommodating around our check in times. She also had some toys that our two boys could play with which was nice. The apartment is a good size, we had plenty of space to relax, cook and sleep.

I completely missed the reviews that comment on the Air conditioning to available at night, If I had read them I would have chosen another property. The AC has an additional cost (15 euro per day) and I expected to be able to use it when we needed it which was in the evenings and at night - I only found out when reading the welcome booklet that we could not use the AC at night because the host who lives next door gets woken up. It was very hot in Lucca and even more so in the apartment (top floor so gets incredibly hot). There was one fan we could use and we are not used to 32/33C.

An authentic apartment in a great location and value for money.

Excellent location right in the old town. The apartment is around the corner from the beautiful amphitheatre, with all its cafes and restaurants and easy walking distance to the main squares and shopping street. Lucca is quite compact so very easy to walk to everything. It is also only about 12 minutes from the train station and an easy, level walk. Lucca is filled with lovely restaurants for eating out and we found it to be very reasonable. We tried a couple recommended in the guest book and were very pleased. We can also recommend the e-bike tour to the Italian winery in the hills - a great experience! Beautiful, typically Italian apartment, decorated and furnished in an authentic way. Lovely bathroom with loads of hot water. Spacious bedrooms and great kitchen with loads of everything. A fantastic base for a 4 day visit. It got quite chilly at night but there was plenty of additional bedding available. The host was very responsive when we asked for the heating to be put on. We flew in to Pisa and it’s a very easy journey to get to Lucca by train. Take the ‘Pisamover’ (€5) from the airport straight into the central station in about 6/7 minutes. From there, it’s only a 30 minute train ride to Lucca @€4.

The lounge would benefit from some additional comfy seating. There is only the one couch and a bit of a tight squeeze for the three of us when watching tv in the evening. There was nothing to dislike as everything was as stated in the description so we were expecting the stairs (77 steps up) and a bit of night time noise as we were in the heart of the old town. The two double beds were on the firm side but beds are a personal preference thing so that might suit some people very well.

We LOVED Lucca! And we highly recommend this apartment!

The building was built in 1650 but the apartment was modern and beautiful. central to Lucca (a great place with smaller crowds). Margarite our hostess was very friendly and attentive. our toilet broke and she had the plumber there right away. Perfect place for the 4 of us!

No screens on the windows with a fair amount of mosquitoes. And they didn’t want us to run the air conditioner at night. Fans were provided, but it was still pretty hot.

Truly phenomenal apartment in the heart of midevil Lucca.

The location within the walls, and the proximity to Piazza Anfiteatro were excellent. The building itself was built in the 16th century and made us feel like we were on a movie set. Wonderful kitchen with cross breeze. We felt like we were having an elegant, authentically Lucca experience.

The landlady was a lovely person, but she does live in the apartment next to this one, and asks that the air conditioner be turned off at night because it disturbs her. It is also quite a climb with 11 flights of stairs.

Excellent host, great location

The apartment has an excellent location, within easy walking distance of all the sights in Lucca. It is spacious (plenty of room for our multigenerational party of 6 people), very well equipped and very clean. We like to cook when we visit Italy, and this apartment had the best equipped kitchen we have seen so far. Despite an early unseasonal heatwave, the appartment was cool and we didn't need any aircon. The host, Margherita, was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. We can heartily recommend this apartment!

Lovely apartment in a great location but not quite suited for our family.

The location was well placed. The host kindly provided a baby cot and high chair for our 22month old. Toys were available for our other children to play with.

The amount of “clutter” in the apartment meant that it felt quite crowded. There were a lot of things that did not need to be left out considering the apartment is a holiday rental. The amount of stairs to reach the apartment makes this apartment challenging when travelling with children. No air conditioning made the apartment quite hot and uncomfortable

Goed verblijf. Alles is aanwezig wat je nodig hebt met kleine kinderen. Locatie is top!

De locatie is super. De gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk. Een groot appartement. Er is speelgoed voor de kinderen aanwezig. Net zoals een babybed en kinderstoel. De kinderwagen kan beneden in de hal blijven staan.

De trappen zijn een nadeel. Het is de bovenste verdieping en daardoor een hele klim naar boven. Maar is het waard gezien de accommodatie en ligging.

Historia i styl. Bardzo polecam.

Bardzo fajna lokalizacja jezeli chcemy zwiedzac Lukke. Jezeli potraktujemy te miesjce jako baze wypadowa to.. tez nie jest zle, ale nalezy pamietac, iz mieszkanie znajduje sie w scislym centrum, za starymi murami miasta, co oznacza ze jest w tzw. ZTL - nie mozna tutaj wjechac samochodem. Wiazac sie to bedzie z okolo 400m spacerem. Mieszkanie jest bardzo dobrze wyposazone i sterylnie czyste. Niczego tu nie brakuje, wlacznie z bardzo fajnymi notatkami z zamieszonymi "polecajkami". Mieszkanie znajduje sie na ostatnim pietrze starej kamienicy - dla nas nie stanowilo to zadnego wyzwania. Mysle, ze jest to jak najbardziej zrozumiale. Mieszkanie umeblowane w klasycznym stylu. Bardzo przyjemne. Goraco polecam.

Jak wspomnialem lokalizacja moze byc problematyczna, zwlaszcza dla kogos kto planuje prznosic duzo rzeczy badz ma ciezkie walizki. My jednak bardzo polecamy te miesjce.

Top locatie

Goede locatie, midden in het historisch centrum en toch een rustige straat. Prima verblijf voor een gezin of vriendengroep Vele restaurants in de buurt In de straat is een bakker met heerlijk brood. Kom je met de fiets? Bij de entree kun je veilig je fiets stallen.

Een fijne plek om ook wat langer te verblijven. Het is een beetje gehorig in het gebouw.

Parcheggio vicino ed a pochi passi dal centro.

Appartamento situato in una zona ZTL, ma comoda da raggiungere dal parcheggio. Cortesia e disponibilità della proprietaria che ha preparato l'alloggio con poco preavviso avendo prenotato all'ultimo istante... inoltre all'arrivo data la giornata calda ci ha omaggiato di una bottiglia d'acqua fresca.

L'unica pecca è la richiesta di non utilizzare l'aria condiziona durante la notte, che essendo sotto al tetto nelle giornate calde come quelle che abbiamo trovato, rende il sonno difficile (ho sudato tutte le notti)... ed il solo ventilatore situato in camera non basta a rinfrescare la stanza.
