Perfect retreat In a lovely location

Lovely location inside the walls of Lucca. Apartment was easy to locate. We appreciated the,roomy bedrooms, dining area,sitting area and kitchen with an all in one washer/dryer.The host left excellent instructions on all appliances. There were extra sets of keys for our use. The apartment is in a quite area and we felt very,very safe.

Perfect location to explore Lucca in an apartment that felt like home from home

Perfect quiet location but close to Lucca centre and main attractions. Comfortable, clean and great apartment for our long weekend break. We arrived late in the evening and amazing host messaged to say lights were on for us and set the temperature (bottle of wine was very much appreciated on our arrival!). So easy to communicate with and lots of useful information provided to help enjoy our stay. Thank you for being a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in your apartment.

Ground floor accommodation in good location, lacks natural light

Washer dryer was great, particularly having dryer option as little natural light in the apartment. Location good with short stroll to restaurants and attractions. Having 2 bathrooms. On ground level so no stairs.

Dark apartment with few windows, very little natural light. Certainly “cosy”, not much space in main bedroom and bed was short for a tall person. Didnot meet the owner at all, lots of communication though which felt terse. E.g. no loud noise or “cackling” at night, police station is nearby! And requested not to give rating below 5/5. Rating system is to help other travellers be informed about the property, not for the owner to fudge the system to get custom, in my opinion.

Ideal location. Great apartment and base for exploring Lucca and beyond.

As we were arriving in Lucca after 11pm, it was essential we could have a self service late check in, a common request in many locations, but strangely difficult to find in Lucca. For us, check in was ideal at Cozybricks. This lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the centre of Lucca and it was perfect for all of our needs. Great location and great kitchen facilities, which we used only at breakfast as we ate out, but would have easily been able to make a proper meal if we'd wanted to. Having aircon in every room was a bonus and welcome on the 3rd, and warmest night of our trip. Communications with the Host, Marco, were also excellent throughout.

Lack of storage place for our clothes for 3 days. Only wardrobe in main bedroom was old and a little musty smelling (albeit fine to use) but there were no drawers in either bedroom which did not already have items stored in them. The thing we disliked the most, by a considerable amount, however, was having to leave to come home. Wish we could have stayed for longer

Fabulous stay in Lucca

We loved this apartment in Lucca - in a quiet street but 5 mins walk to the Centre of Lucca. It was really comfy and homely and had a good air con and powerful shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a simple meal. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful apartment in a perfect location with an exceptional host - highly recommended!

We stayed at this lovely ground-floor apartment, located in the heart of the old town on a quiet street, yet just steps away from everything: culture, restaurants, bakeries, and shops. The apartment beautifully combines authentic medieval charm with modern comfort. It is tastefully decorated, fully equipped, and includes two bathrooms with toilets, which made our stay especially convenient. The check-in and check-out process was very easy and clear, thanks to the detailed and illustrated instructions Lippi provided in advance. But above all, the highlight of our stay was the warm and thoughtful communication with our host. Before our arrival, Lippi guided us with clear directions on how to reach the nearby parking area without entering restricted traffic zones. We had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, and upon arrival, we found the apartment decorated with balloons and birthday notes, along with a complimentary bottle of wine - a truly touching gesture. Lippi also gave us excellent restaurant recommendations for the celebration and remained kind, helpful, and responsive throughout our stay. In summary, this apartment is perfect for a family of four or two couples. It is cozy, comfortable, beautifully designed, and has everything needed for a fun and relaxing vacation. And most importantly, it comes with a wonderful host. We would gladly return!

The only small drawback to mention is that, due to its location within the historic old town, the apartment is not accessible by car unless you have a special permit (ZTL zone). Guests need to park outside the city walls and walk to the apartment - an easy walk of less than 10 minutes, but if you're carrying heavy luggage, it might be a bit less convenient. That said, the charm and authenticity of the location more than make up for it.

Brilliant

Great position. Not too central so noisy but easy to walk to from the station then anywhere in LUCCA. It’s a really old building the a listing so don’t expect a really modern looking apartment but it certainly s piece of history and great to stay in. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Spacious. Cool. The communication with Marco was brilliant and immediate. That really helps with reassurance but also advice re where to go etc. Could not have been easier to arrive at LUCCA after a flight to Pisa and be in the apartment within 1.5 hrs.

Some aspects are outdated but the shell and interior can’t be changed and the decor fits. Definitely didn’t detract from our stay.

Amazing stay in Lucca

The host was very quick to answer questions and even allowed us to check in early. The bottle of sparkling wine which was left was well received especially as we were celebrating a birthday during our stay. The apartment was spacious and very historic which was apt seen as it is situated in a good location within the city walls. There is air conditioning throughout the apartment which was particularly nice due to the unseasonable high temperatures which were present during our stay in Lucca. There are many nice restaurants located within walking distance of the apartment. There are also two supermarkets and independent shops selling local produce located nearby. The railway station is a 10 to 15 walk away which allows access to other areas of Tuscany.

There was some street noise which once you see how historical the building is, could be expected.

Quirky little apartment in a lovely area of historic Lucca

Great location with only a short walk to a lovely little piazza. Quirky little place, which was explained in the information sheets. I liked the write up about the history of the building and area.

Scratchy thin towels. Washing machine difficult to understand, a set of simple instructions in English would be helpful. No mattress protector on the bed, I had to remake the bed. A simple map of the city for the visitor would also have been helpful

I like old towns and it is a nice and calm place inside the historical center where you are realy close to everything what you want to explore in Lucca. Even if outside is hot weather, being inside the old house walls is very comfortable even without A/C.

The apartment is authentic old style but in very good shape. The location is very good, since it is within the city wall. We enjoyed our visit very much!!

Please consider that you cannot enter the city center with the car (ZTL is closed permanently). This is true for all apartments in Lucca's old city! So you have park your car outside and carry your luggage...

Nestled in the heart of Lucca….a perfect place to stay!

Cosy Bricks was very warm and welcoming with its modern colours and very comfortable accommodation. We greatly appreciated our hosts communication with us and his recommendations for incoming guests as we settled in and moved about Lucca. Our host very thoughtfully provided everything his guests would need for a wonderful and comfortable stay. CosyBricks was spotlessly clean and all needs were provided for in terms of kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms and living area. We felt safe and secure at CosyBricks and negotiated Lucca confidently as Cost Bricks is set within the walls of Lucca and close to all points of interest.

There was not one thing we didn’t like about Cosy Bricks. It was a FABULOUS place to stay!

Convenient location to explore the points of interest of Lucca.

The location was good, only 5 minutes from access to the wall, and the apartment was spacious

Most windows did not open and so the apartment was stuffy in weather around 25C. Noisy - the apartment is very close to the recycling bins for the street. Not only do lorries empty the bins every day, but residents will dump waste, especially cans and bottles, into the bins at any time of day or night.

loved the location near access to the wall and main plaza

Close to the center plazas. only one level of stairs 👍 quiet with large rooms

shower was very small . I am 5’2” 110 lbs and was squished ! No paper towels nor kitchen towels provided and only 2 cloth napkins for 4 people . No wine 🍷 glassware ??? Really ! in Italy ? washer / dryer did not dry the clothes so we had to hang them on a drying rack ( we asked around and most people said they had the same issue with their Washer/dryers ) . place definitely run by a male 😏

Marco was an excellent host and obviously took a lot of pride in his beautiful historical home. Marco was always responsive and we particularly appreciated his help when my daughter had left an item after we checked out. His speedy communication enabled us to collect it later in the day. The apartment was in a great central location within the old town of Lucca, yet was tucked away and quiet. It had everything we needed and we hope we can return one day.

Terrible. When I rent a room with a king sized bed, I expect one, and a door I can lock.

The door was opened from a distant location remotely. Once inside the apartment, the dead bolt was not operational, and from reviews I read, it has been that way for over a year, making the apartment unsafe because someone can unlock the door without your knowing whenever they want, and you have no way to prevent it.

It is listed as the Cozy bricks apartment, it was not, it was the other. It was not a King size bed, it was two dormitory beds pushed together. Bait and switch. There are 2 different apartments, but the pictures are combined so that the first 20+ pictures are of cozy bricks, and the remaining are of the other apartment, again noted in previous reviews, but not fixed by Booking . com We left after 3 nights and expect a refund for the other 3 nights

Beautiful apartment in a smart location

The apartment is a quiet location in the heart of historical center, very beautiful, with old painted ceilings, very characteristic floor, and a well equipped kitchen. The location is smart, near a parking with supermarkets, pub and restaurant all around. I'll be back for sure!
