We had a great stay! The room was very good – clean, comfortable, and perfect for the three of us, including our 6-year-old daughter. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Lucca. The people who run the B&B are incredibly friendly and helpful. We really appreciated their warm welcome and assistance during our stay. Highly recommended

We were actually along the road from where we thought we had booked.We had breakfast (very good) in a nearby restaurant. Although in the heart of the town, the very effective double glazing cut out all the street noise. Solo travellers should be aware that they might not see or speak to anyone at the property during their stay.Make sure your knees can cope with the stairs!

Even dough the location is good, the room was inside the hotel office, the shower was just the hand shower without support, in d room description said that has fridge but it did not exist, the first night the air conditioning clicker was missing, and the hotel communication was terrible.

Truly a beautiful spot Very clean and comfortable. I was in a front room directly on the main shopping street so the street noise even withthe windows closed was noticable. Also the noises within the B and B carried from room to room. None of this bothered me and I slept very well but if you are a light sleeper you may need ear plugs!! The staff was lovley and very helpful and the breakfast was good and plentiful.

the manager of the hotel was very easy to reach at all times, we stayed at this hotel for 2 days and realy enjoyed our stay in this little town. there was a nice walking trail that you could walk all the way around the town. Lots of good resturants within walking distance and not far to train station and shops. Breafast was served at the hotels resturant which was right beside the hotel and was very nice.

This hotel in Lucca was excellently located in the old city. The dingy stairway led to a large breakfast area with an aging office area for the B&B. The owner was extremely warm and inviting but the rooms were less so. Our room had an air conditioner but it was not set and working properly so the small cramped room was warm and stuffy. The breakfast was acceptable but not up to the quality of other similarly priced properties. Upon reflection, I would probably not choose to stay in this hotel on another visit to Lucca.

Very enjoyable B&B where Francesco, the owner, makes everything happen with the help of the couple of people who assist him. The place is kept clean and welcoming and the breakfast buffet offered enough choices to satisfy most of the guests (I loved the local ham!). Well done and best of luck!

Pleasant B&B with charming décor. Great location for tourists near many shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable to stay in. You should be fit though because the rooms are up three flights of stairs and parking is about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Very basic but positioned on the outer ring of the Ampitheatre. Owner wasn't there when we arrived to check in and had to wait an hour. Finally reached him on the phone. Turns out he works in the restaurant next door, very pleasant chap. The room was very basic but comfortable and clean. Close to everything.

I chose the apartment within a B&B because of the added level of security this brings, and I was extremely happy with it. Having previously just stayed in hotels I was thrilled with how much space I had. It has high ceilings, comfy bed, a nice open plan type living space but with the kitchen around the corner so it doesn't intrude. There is a restaurant downstairs which was noisy in the evening, but after closing it was quiet. I didn't have trouble sleeping. I would totally recommend hiring a bicycle to go around the walls, or do a bit of shopping. In Lucca the pedestrian/cyclist is king. It's a lot of fun.

Stayed in Apartment, not B&B. Great location, v close to main shopping street, but quiet. Facilities mainly good, but wooden floor very dusty and not all the lights worked. No WiFi in apartment, but available in B&B. Would I stay there again? YES!

I stayed here one night before & after a yoga retreat I did outside of Lucca. This b&b is within the wall & is right in the centre of everything - lots of shops, restaurants, cafes, chemist etc. close walk to the wall which is a stunning walk that takes about an hour if you want to meander the whole way round - great view looking into the city, most is shaded & usually get a nice breeze!! Self service laundry & ATM are close by which is handy!! The staff were all friendly & efficient. Room & getting into B&B at night is safe & secure which is a must when your a female travelling on your own!! Airconditioning was fabulous with 30 degrees celcius in July & is not always a given in Italy. Room was quite spacious, clean & good bathroom. Beds are a bit hard but that seems to be the norm in Europe. Would definitely stay here again, excellent location but I didn't find it noisy which is a bonus, may be because it's the street behind the wall. Lucca is lovely & It's nice that traffic is very limited within the wall - good vibe but not crazy like bigger cities!!

This was a wonderful B&B. We were upgraded to the apartment due to an odd odor, probably from exposed brickwork in our very nice studio. Staff was extremely helpful. EXCELLENT location just outside the piazza Amfiteatro. 7 weeks in Italy and this was the best by far. Highly recommend this place.
