I loved the property! The stairs are very narrow and steep and full of character, perhaps too much for some , but we are fit enough and loved this feature.

Not a great stay

The location was great, charming building right in the amphitheatre

Weirdly inhospitable place to stay- WiFi didn’t work for the whole time we were there, no cups plates and cutlery in the kitchen (they are locked in a cupboard not for guest use). When we raised the WiFi issue nothing was done- it was clear this property is managed remotely. The door to our room was frosted glass meaning when other guests turn the hall light on at 2am your whole room illuminates. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There are so many lovely places to stay in Lucca, probably pick somewhere else even for the price

Great location if you’re staying for a couple of nights.

The location is great and the double glazed windows block out the outside noise. The aircon is a little loud but cools the room quickly.

It took four days of contacting the staff every day to get the wifi fixed. Once they replaced the modem it worked but there is limited reception in the top floor bedroom. There is a shared kitchen and dining area with a fridge but there isn’t any dinnerware or cutlery so the space is practically useless apart from storing wine in the fridge, unless you bring your own. You also can’t sit at the table as the stools are too high. I stayed at this location for a week and as much as I enjoy eating out, I don’t want to eat out 3 times a day. So if you’re similar and staying in Lucca for more than a few days, this might not be the place for you. Also, as others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and narrow. If you have mobility issues and/or are traveling with large/heavy luggage the stairs are difficult. I was travelling solo with a roadbike and getting up and down was no easy feat.

The location was perfect!

The door to the room had windows?! They were tinted but still, shadows in the hallway were visible and if others turned on the hallway light we would be rudely woken up by this. The wifi also did not work.

Good and bad points....

The location is great, backing onto the anfiteatro piazza. Characterful. Huge room. Decent shower.

Perhaps I didn't notice the warning about the stairs, but be aware that it wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs were really steep and quite shallow. Stairs are from street level to the rooms and therefore unavoidable. Would be v difficult with larger luggage, and no one is available on site to help. Handrail was helpful. Didn't like total lack of any personal interaction. The key was accessed through a lockbox. No staff anywhere. I was having issues with the online forms at first and tried to call several times, but there was no answer. You'll need to fill in a long form online and sign up to a €150 deposit in case of breakages or a non returnable €30 'waiver' before you can get the code for the key. It was cheap and characterful, but I probably wouldn't choose it again.

Un alloggio decente ubicato in centro storico di Lucca a prezzo ragionevole

Non apprezzo affatto la noncuranza e la superficialità di chi gestisce questo alloggio. Spacciare la semplicità di pochi arredi per lusso è una presa in giro, se non un inganno. Per di più, quando si fanno le pulizie, bisogna essere meticolosi e togliere anche la polvere. Il letto matrimoniale non c'era, ma due materassi messi insieme che si aprivano quando uno si muoveva sul letto. Il lusso ? È solo una parola vuota di senso in questo contesto.

Il punto in cui si trova solamente se sei a piedi e non con un mezzo privato.

Non eravamo stati avvisati della scalinata infinita con gradini altissimi e mura strette,io per la mia stazza ci passavo solamente di lato e in più abbiamo un bimbo di 2 anni da salire in braccio e di conseguenza il passeggino da salire e scendere da quelle scale infernali. Stanza trovata sporca e piena di polvere Letti stra usati che mi hanno distrutto in questi giorni Nessuno ti aspetta all'arrivo e nessun host presente neanche in 7 giorni di alloggio Nessuno viene a pulire niente per tutto il tempo di alloggio,neanche a cambiare asciugamani e nemmeno buste della spazzatura Nessuno mi ha avvisato delle ZTL ovunque quando dichiaravo di arrivare con auto personale,di conseguenza prese 5 multe e dopodiché pagato 20€ al giorno per parcheggio al di fuori

I letti vi spezzeranno la schiena!!!!

Posizione centralissima, in 10 minuti raggiungi qualsiasi punto di interesse.

Letto scomodissimo, non erano altro che due materassi singoli messi vicini, spessore del materasso 5cm, era letteralmente come dormire sulle doghe di ferro (letto anni 50'). Ci hanno letteralmente spaccato la schiena. Mancavano gli asciugamani intimi. Inoltre ci sono stati chiesti 30 euro di cauzione non rimborsabili. Rapporto qualità prezzo ingiustificabile, se penso che ho pagato 70 euro a notte per tornare a casa con la schiena a pezzi...in città ci sono diversi posti più validi di questo, controllate bene le recensioni.

DE LUXURY, NADA DE NADA

Una experiencia pésima en todos los sentidos. Nos sentimos completamente estafados. No avisan de que hay que subir unas escaleras muy empinadas para llegar a la habitación, y cuando el checkin es a las dos y hace 38 grados fuera, ponte a subir maletas!!! Nada apto para personas mayores ni niños. Además no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, solo agua fría para ducharse, el cabezal de la ducha roto, los colchones sucios, el Wifi va a pedales, olor a rancio....al no funcionar el aire acondicionado, tuvimos que abrir la ventana y soportar el ruido de la calle y los mosquitos, apenas dormimos las dos noches que estuvimos.

Y lo peor de todo, la atención al cliente!!! Toda comunicación es por Whatsapp, y cuando ya insistes en hablar con alguien, la respuesta es absolutamente patética y nada profesional. Les da igual que tu estés de vacaciones, no entienden que no quieres perder horas de tu tiempo de ocio en resolver SUS inconvenientes. NO solucionan, NO se disculpan, NO atienden a sus clientes. Hacer caja, y ya!!! No lo recomiendo PARA NADA!!!

Een mooie kamer op een goede plek

De kamer was stijlvol ingericht. Het gebouw waarin de kamers zijn, is vanbinnen netjes gerestaureerd. Het adres nr 12 is ook te herkennen aan de drie sleutelkluisjes met de namen van de kamers. Het bed was prima en wij konden er rustig slapen. We zaten op de hoogste verdieping, kamer Flavia. Bij aankomst stond er water, thee en koffie met een pakje koekjes. Op de tussen verdieping staat een grote koelkast waar alle 3 kamers gebruik van kunnen maken. Verder zijn er geen keukenfaciliteiten. Er is goede app-communicatie mogelijk als je nog wat nadere informatie wil. Er is geen contact met een fysiek persoon. Een goede uitvalbasis om Lucca te bezoeken.

Van de kamer viel niets tegen. We hebben wel 3 dingen die niet uit de beschrijving viel op te maken en die je naar onze mening wel moet weten. 1. De betaling van de kamer verliep soepel via Bookings.com. Na je boeking bij Bookings.com krijg je bericht van het verhuurbedrijf Affiti Brevi Italia. Je moet voor hen een zeer uitgebreide administratieve procedure doorlopen. Veel invullen en administratie die op ons erg overdreven overkwam. We moesten zelfs een selfie sturen. De toeristenbelasting int Affiti Brevi apart. Gevraagd wordt om dat per creditcard vooraf te voldoen, maar die link werkte niet naar behoren. Elke dag stuurde de robot ons een betalingsherinnering met de niet-werkende link. Uiteindelijk konden we het per bankoverschrijving toch voldoen. Kortom: gedoe. Hopen dat het inmiddels wel werkt. 2. In de badkamer moet je douchen in bad. Er hangen douchegordijnen. Dat levert geklieder op. 3. Achter de voordeur begint zich een smalle steile mooie stenen trap naar boven. Tot de eerste verdieping 20 treden en tot de 2e nogmaals 20 treden.
