About this house rental
In the charming village of Figueira lies Casa de Familia, a 6-person villa with a shared pool, a spacious terrace, stunning views, and all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation. The surroundings are peaceful and authentic, and the house is centrally located near many beautiful beaches. Welcome!
Location
The villa is located in the charming village of Figueira, in a quiet courtyard with other villas and features a shared pool. Figueira is situated between Lagos (12 km) and Sagres (15 km), making it the perfect base for exploring the beautiful beaches in the area.
Figueira Beach is a 20-minute walk away, and the charming seaside town of Salema is 2.5 km away.
The house
The villa has two floors, with 3 bedrooms on the first floor. From each bedroom, you can step right out into the garden. There are effective sunshades, allowing you to sleep in a cool, dark environment, and fans are provided. One of the bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and toilet. There is also a separate bathroom with a shower and toilet. The other two bedrooms each have two single box-spring beds.
On the upper floor, you’ll find the spacious open-concept living room with a sitting area and television, and a dining area with 6 chairs. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with all amenities and appliances, including an oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Kitchen linens are provided. Upstairs, there is also a separate restroom.
The living room opens onto two southwest-facing balconies, offering beautiful views of the village and the valley. For chilly winter days, there’s a wood-burning stove in the living room, as well as a portable electric heater.
There’s Wi-Fi, and a Chromecast is available, so you can watch Netflix with your own subscription!

The garden
On the spacious southwest-facing terrace, you can relax or enjoy a meal together. You can choose to sit on the stone bench in the corner, in the dining area, or on a lounge chair. There’s also a built-in BBQ!
Parking
The house has its own parking spot right in front of the house. You’ll find additional parking a few dozen meters away, outside the courtyard.
Swimming Pool
In the center of the courtyard is a shared swimming pool, with a separate children’s pool. The pool is heated from spring through fall. The beautiful garden surrounding the pool is well-maintained and creates a tropical vacation atmosphere.
The Weather
Temperatures in the Western Algarve are pleasant year-round. In the summer, it rarely gets hotter than 30 degrees, and in the winter, temperatures remain mild. That’s why it’s one of Europe’s favorite places to spend the winter.
Target Audience
We welcome families with children or adults who respect both people and nature. The accommodations are located in a quiet little park, and we like to be considerate of our neighbors. This is a wonderful place to relax, but it’s not the right spot for loud parties.

Figueira & Tips in the Area
In this authentic little village with charming narrow streets, you’ll find a few restaurants and cafés, as well as a tiny shop for daily groceries. A large supermarket (Intermarché) is a 5-minute drive away. In Salema, the nearest beach town (2 km), you can also enjoy a nice dinner or drinks on the beach. The drive to Faro Airport takes about an hour.
The house is a 10- to 20-minute drive from many beautiful beaches on both the south and west coasts, where there are great surf spots and where you can enjoy wonderful walks and hikes along the cliffs.

At the Santo Antonio golf course (1 km), in addition to golfing, you can also visit the sauna, go swimming, play tennis, and dine out.
In our opinion, the village of Pedralva is a hidden gem, where you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Sitio da Pedralva restaurant. The bread stuffed with salt cod and vegetable sauce is highly recommended! Lagos is also worth a visit, with its harbor, charming markets, shops, cafés, and restaurants, as well as beautiful beaches like Praia Dona Ana and Meia Praia. In Sagres, you’ll find the southwesternmost point of Europe, with Cabo de São Vicente and the Fortaleza fort. There, you can go hiking, enjoy water sports, and visit the fort. The area is ideal for surfing, as you’re close to both the south and west coasts.
