Therma Palace - Balneo SPA, Free parking & Beach

Very friendly and very helpful staff, easy to communicate with even if sometimes the language barrier was a problem, they always seemed happy to help with any issue. 9/10 mainly for staff. I personally really enjoyed the food selection. I encountered no issues. We stayed for just under a week and the meals were varied enough for three meals a day. I thought location was great. Very quiet area in a quiet town/village (or at least it was now since it was winter at the beach side). The whole "Therma Village" was really enjoyable to explore and the walks were very relaxing. Also, there are a lot of cats and dogs in the town, including around the hotel, and some of the cats seemed to be familiar with being inside the hotel lobby, so that was really nice especially for any cat lovers. SPA area was great and well equipped. The pools and jacuzzi were relaxing (sometimes too hot but maybe that was just a personal preference). I really enjoyed the selection of saunas also. Room had just about all the basics we needed, from bathroom basics to slippers to bath robes to free water bottles that were restocked daily by the cleaning ladies (and you could also ask for more water bottles at the reception if needed). I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at the level 0 bar, with relaxing music and dim lights and pool tables (which you have to pay for to play, unfortunately). Also bonus points for the gym. One thing that we weren't really told about that we found out by ourselves is that the all inclusive bracelet includes ALL the Therma Village has to offer, including the Eco Therma hotel. Eco Therma seemed much more pleasant to spend time in, as it is a bigger hotel, the restaurant is also much bigger with much more varied menu, and just the overall surroundings including the small village and the private beach made for a great experience. So not a downside for Therma Palace, but a bonus that you get to enjoy everything around as client.

An issue that initially bothered us badly, but got promptly fixed: our first room was a mess. We checked into our first room, and it seemed like it was part of a completely different hotel. The couch and the bottom sides of the bed(s) had strange stains on them, and even the cover on the bed had some white stains that we did not want to know about... The room was full of flying bugs, and I even squished two myself for the 20 minutes that we spent there. The furniture seemed like it hasn't been replaced since the 90s, a lot of scratches on it. But the worst thing about the room was black mold in the bathroom. We noticed the smell in the room then we saw a long string of black mold near the roof of the bathroom. However, we told the reception lady about our issue and she quickly found another room for us without arguments, which was nicer and cleaner and we liked the layout a lot more. Even though our new room was nice, it still had some minor issues that did not affect our experience that badly. The furniture was the same: old, with scratches, does not belong in a 5 star hotel. The TV had no NETFLIX on it, which although is not a big issue, we still expected a smart TV in a 5 star hotel room in 2026. We also wanted a double bed, but we got two small beds pushed together instead which was not convenient. Also we found two small cockroaches in the bathroom coming from the drain. Not a lot of cocktail choices at the bar, and not great either. Even with all inclusive you had to pay for some drinks like Campari!! Although I mostly had a great experience there, this is clearly not a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 star. Food was really good (I include Eco Therma food here also), but you could tell that a lot of the stuff including the sweets were store bought rather than made in the kitchen and some tasted bland. Add the outdated rooms and the lack of a bar at the SPA (and no free rubber slippers! you have to pay!).

The receptionist was cooperative. The location is ok, but for summer, not at all for late autumn.

What didn't I like? Well, let's start: The maids didn't really show up. I had expectations for a 5-star resort :((. I can't rate the food as 5 stars, more like a roadside restaurant.
