Maritim Hotel Paradise Blue

Awesome location - right at the beach, great facilities which included a large outdoor and a smaller indoor pool with a jacuzzi and spa, activities at the outdoor pool throughout the day, very nicely decorated, clean and spacious rooms with an awesome view at the sea. Buffet breakfast was fresh and tasty with lots of choices, à la carte restaurants and cafes were great and didn’t disappoint - and the gelato was delicious. Staff was nice and helpful throughout our stay - overall, it was an awesome experience, I only wish we stayed for a few more nights.

The beach umbrellas and sunbeds were a bit of a nuisance and the guy managing them was on the rude side. Using the sunbeds and umbrellas is generally free for hotel guests, however, the first 2 rows were always paid, and we were asked to pay to use them at 5 pm - the closing time was 6 pm I believe - and when the beach was emptying already. A more relaxed rule allowing to use the first 2 rows after 3-4 pm free of charge for guests if unoccupied would make a lot more sense. Luckily, the sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool had no restrictions whatsoever and it was very nice to stay there, along with the activities during the day.

Food - fantastic selection both at breakfast and dinner. Food was fresh, a lot of choices and varied every day. I read a few not so good reviews where visitors were complaining about a lack of choice and I really can’t understand why. For me, the quality of food and the selection were superb! Location - right on the (very big) beach, so never felt crowded and we could find a seat even on a busy day. Beach was clean, sea was warm, lovely and shallow enough to feel safe with a child (but still perfectly well able to swim). Facilities - everything was clean and up to 5* standard. Rooms were quiet and insulated, we couldn’t hear any noise from inside or outside (and we were facing the front/swimming pools). Indoor swimming pool was warm and lovely. In my view this was the best hotel in the area and I’d highly recommend for families with kids of any age.

I was a bit surprised that drinks were not included in half board dinner (apart from water) and the outdoor pools could have been a bit more heated, but other than that, really nothing to dislike.
