The Renaissance Chapel by Maison Florence

The facilities were perfect. Great location walking distance to all the sites. Very quiet for a peaceful sleep. Communication with host exceptional. Would highly recommend staying here and would stay again for a return visit.

Nothing to find fault with

Convenient location on the first floor of the building. The apartment is a renovated chapel that is beautifully decorated. Very quiet at night and gets a good amount of natural light in the living room. It's also next to a couple of great Gelato spots and restaurants.

Check-in was delayed due to wifi not working for the electronic check-in system. Luckily, one of their staff members was kind enough to come down to the property to manually open the door for us. We were informed that the wifi had been out for the last few days, so we did not have access to wifi and could not use the TV during our stay. There is definitely a learning curve to the front door/key situation as is with many old buildings in Florence so give yourself some grace and lots of patience! The restroom had a slight sewage smell from the plumbing system, again most likely due to the building's age. The shower could benefit with some shelving units as we had to place all our toiletries on the ground. Additionally, I'd recommend adding another AC unit in the living room area as the units in the bedrooms do not reach that area. It was a bit uncomfortable to hang out in there during our stay in July. Lastly, be mindful of your height when staying here as the ceilings are relatively low and might cause you to bump into some of the ceiling beams (as did some of our guests).
